Shawn and his Team responded quickly and were out in about an hour. Made the entire situation (deceased brother) bearable.....UNTIL IT WAS TIME TO PAY. BILLING WAS A MAJOR ISSUE. I asked Shawn twice for the amount due immediately after the work was completed since I wanted to pay him before he left the house. He assured me (in front of my family) on more than one occasion that the homeowners policy covers the cost of his services. The insurance company wanted to see proof of death prior to speaking with me about Shawns invoice. Took a little more than 90 days to get the death certificate to submit to the insurance company (we were told the delay in issuing the death certificate was due to COVID). After 60 days, Shawn called me. We had an intense conversation where he threatened to submit the invoice to collections if I did not pay. He only relented when I told him I have proof that he said he would be paid by the insurance and not to worry. My brothers insurance provider stated that YES, they do cover these types of charges AFTER THE DEDUCTIBLE. In my brothers case, the deductible was 1%. Due the amount of the invoice (less than the 1% deductible), they would not pay. So, I was stuck with the bill and had to pay, which I did PAY IN FULL after speaking with my family. LESSONS LEARNED: - NO MATTER WHO YOU USE TO REMEDIATE, if the company cant/wont provide a written estimate and/or write down the amount due, kick them off the premises, no matter how nice they are. - NO MATTER WHO YOU USE TO REMEDIATE, if a company representative repeatedly insists that the insurance carrier will cover the expenses, STILL INSIST ON A WRITTEN ESTIMATE PRIOR TO SERVICES RENDERED - NO MATTER WHO YOU USE TO REMEDIATE, obtain written proof from the company that the any and all charges will be paid by the insurance company. - NO MATTER WHO YOU USE TO REMEDIATE, ask and get a response in writing (even a text message) answering the following question: "If the insurance doesnt pay, who is responsible for paying the invoice?" - Finally, to the person signing off on the services, GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING, record the conversation, keep proof of what was said because in the end, you will be responsible for full payment.

He was communicative and explained everything with comfort and grace. They truly are the people to go to! The team at Austin Bio Clean is professional, organized, fast and sensitive to the situation that brought them there in the first place. I live some hours away from the family members house they were cleaning and they communicated with me every step of the way. There were animals in the house and there was no problem working around them. They are absolute angels for helping people with extreme situations in the home. Austin Bio Clean came in and had the house back to live-able and did an immaculate job in just 3 days. I couldnt believe it. Worth every penny!!
