Favor yourself and bank elsewhere My father lived here banked at this branch for years, he introduced he to Cynthia the branch manager, "5 stars for her" he informed the bank I was the power of attorney for him the and estate. On my last visit to see my father, he had became impossibly angry, and was diagnosed with "Dementia" Sadly my father convinced his best friend to take over the POA. NYCB bank and Cynthia were smarter, and ordered her legal department to validate the new POA's POA document. After he passed I was the trustee for the estate and Cindy accommodated me by using the same accounts as we need to audit all expenses paid by his new POA. This was a real time saver and money saver. Cynthia has now retired and the new manager, has refused to call me time and time again. when I call, they simply tell me they will call. and they never do...ever... This is not professional and when it comes to your money, you need to depend on your banker. Nope not Anymore. Just go down the street. there's another bank just waiting for business. This is not the way banks work. This branch can't help for some reason. I called the corporate office, Now I am able to get the home office to help me with finalizing this account. They Validated my account, and in 20 minutes I was able to get the home office to help me. This same branch should have been able to do, This Branch simply does not provide customer service.
This has been the worst bank I have ever used. Its staff are unfriendly and have created serious problems especially with regard to the use of their bank card in foreign countries and the use of their security procedures. Even though I filed forms establishing the daily withdrawal limitations these forms were not filed with their parent bank NYC Community Bank. I was left without access to my funds and when I called from Europe they refused to assist me. This isnt the only serious problem theyve caused over the years
