As other clients have said Helen is an extremely knowledgeable gemologist and talented designer. The first time my husband and I went to Just Gems (Aberdeen) I was sure I would get excellent quality stones, having heard her talk about gems. However, commissioning jewellery for the first time was a little daunting, but Helen so loves her work and is so enthusiastic about finding just the right thing for you that it was a real treat. We went to see Helen again this year, in Winchcombe, and commissioned 3 pieces of jewellery. Helen was more than happy to incorporate stones from a ring I hardly ever wore, even though they were inferior to ones she would supply. That is the wonderful thing about Helen, she wont sell to you for the sake of a sale, she really wants you to have something unique, personal and of the highest quality. I will be wearing my latest pieces with pride for my daughters wedding next week. They will have a hard job to out shine the bride, but I am sure they will be much admired.

Helen Plumb - not your average jeweller! When two of my friends (who don't know each other, but do know that I love beautiful jewellery and gemstones) both recommended that I visit gemmologist Helen Plumb at her shop Just Gems in the Cotswolds town of Winchcombe, I was intrigued... And what a treat was in store! Helen is an amazing lady, hugely knowledgeable and totally passionate about precious and semi-precious stones and how to use them to create items of jewellery that are individual and different, yet eminently wearable. My first brief visit turned into a regular outing (there is always something new to see) and I am now the proud owner of a number of pieces which I just love, and which draw admiring glances whenever I wear them. And during lockdown, I have kept myself consoled by browsing the treasures on the Just Gems website. When it's possible to visit in person again, I will be first through the door! Winchcombe is a very pleasant town well worth a day out with some interesting local attractions to enjoy - if you can drag yourself away from Helen and her gems, that is!
