Greg, although a one-star review, your opinion is appreciated. However, with that being said you started the conversation about the local shop in question out with not the nicest things to say. I (Brandon) did not initiate that conversation and told you my honest opinion from experience after the conversation was started. My opinion is not based off rumors or that they are our competition its based off facts. It is not my intentions to drag anyone through the mud, but if asked a question any of us here at the shop will give you an honest answer. I think it is important to be upfront with customers and tell them the truth. If by other shops, you mean Windham Weaponry then I still stand by what our conversation pertained to and again my stance was based off of first hand experience and facts. In my opinion you walked away from our long conversation with a lot of questions answered in regards to AR-10 pattern rifles and I would be happy to help you with anymore questions. I was in last week and my experience started out great. Large selection of Archery equipment for anyone to choose from. I started talking with Brandon? The military guy. Conversation started out good but soon into our conversation other local shops got brought up. The guy I was talking with just started bashing these other local shops. I've been in business for a long time and I understand dealing with competition but to say the kinds of things he did is down right unprofessional and arrogant. I don't shop with businesses that find it ethical to bash people or other businesses whether they know them or not. I will not be back.

Phil, We are sorry to hear that you feel that way as it is far from the normal experience of our customers. As far as bow tuning goes, we tune the bow as we have seen too many customers try to paper tune the bow themselves and actually induce shooter error with an improper release or riser torque. If you really wanted a personal tune that can be done, but the conversation has to be had for us to know what you exactly want. That also goes for third axis adjustment. We usually do it for the customer if their sight can accommodate it, but it is not necessarily part of a general tune. As far as not being talked to both Brandon and Dylan were busy with customers and you clearly just said you were asked if you needed anything by someone who is a friend of the shop that helps us out when we get busy. He absolutely could have helped you or gotten one of us. We would love to hear what other bad experiences you have had so that we can find ways to improve our service. I've been going to this archery shop for roughly 4 years. When I started going the service was great. As a matter of fact, it kept me coming back even when I moved over an hour away to Plainwell. The service has gone down hill over the last year and I am sad to say I will not be going back. Some of the examples of poor service are when I got my bow restrung. I ordered a new set of vapor trail strings but the strings weren't the issue. The issue was when I went in to get the bow tuned..... I shoot an axcel accu-touch carbon pro sight. Not cheap. I went in to get the bow tuned and the person working the counter said it was already tuned. I said, "I haven't shot it yet." He told me that he shot it and that it should be good for me to use. He is much taller than I am and we have much different arm lengths. I asked him if the the 3 axis levels were set. He said the first 2 were set so the third should be "good to go". I knew right then I was going to have issues. After re-tuning my bow at a different shop while I was shooting it, the bow was dialed in. I went in today to get some arrows which would seem simple enough. I was standing at the counter for roughly 15 minutes without so much as a hello or, we'll be right with you, or even a nod. I had the arrows in hand, and an arrow from my case for the length to cut and ended up leaving after being there for 25 minutes without any arrows. I did, however, get asked if I need help finding anything by someone who didn't work there. I thought it was odd but whatever. I understand that things get busy, and I understand that things happen unintentionally. The string of bad luck that I've had the past 3 or 4 times I've gone in is just too hard to over look.

Amazing shop, if you want to get set up for out west chasing elk or stand hunting white tails down the road they got you covered. The only shop in town with a large selection of Sitka, bows, Optics, and more. Go check them out!

Jeff, Thanks for the review. I am the guy you are mentioning. I have met Jeff on multiple occasions and think he is a great guy. However what I have seen from the location in which he does his CPL classes is a bit sketchy as the berm is only a few feet high. Just as I know how bullets are captured and I also know the margin of human error when it comes to handguns. I would say that you saying I mocked him is a vast overstatement, but you are entitled to your own opinion. The customers you mentioned also picked up on your behavior and commented as being off putting so this might not be as one sided as you may think. As far as the Ruger PCC Mlok version I may have been wrong as that is not a gun I have ever needed to look for. As for the distributors that I get Rugers from they are not available and says "coming soon" which leads me to believe they are not out yet. Gun sales here at our shop are actually doing quite well so thanks there. To end my response I don't think that having the name "and Firearms" is disingenuous" in any way as we do have a fair amount of guns seeing as we are primarily an Archery shop, and we carry a good amount of high end rifles and shotguns. If you would like to come talk to me in person you can find me at the shop and we can talk about what was actually discussed and the reasoning behind it and If not that's fine as well. The firearms in the title is a little generous. Store does not sell used guns only new guns that any consumer can get anywhere else at lower prices. Now that's not abnormal as everyone needs to make money and judging from the reviews I expected great customer service which everyone is willing to pay a little bit more if there is great customer service. However while looking for the M lock version of the ruger PC carbine which I know to be on the market, A separate customer was talking to the associate that was helping me about his experience completing his CPL training. The Customer mixed up his shop and only in America gun shop in wayland. The associate for the store then insulted and mocked the owner of only in America gun shop by name. I've been to every shop within 50 miles of this location. Never have I heard another shop mock a fellow shop. Sure people say silver bullet employees are grumpy. But to mock the man's business when it sounds like hes never been to it just astounds me. The funny thing is a guy that runs his gun shop out of his Pole barn has 4 times the gun selection that this commercial store has. Here's a tip for the owner of this establishment. I understand that gun sales are down in the current Political climate but it's probly not gonna help your sales when your associates insult and mock fellow small business owners that sell guns. To end this review I would like to say specifically to the associate that a bern is commonly used to stop bullets. That's how the bullets magically stop from hitting objects on the other side of it. **updated after owner response** 5/3/2019 I was off putting for correcting your other customer? Your customer insulted Both Only in America Gun shop as did u and the customer mocked their "hokey" CPL instructor. They also mocked the CPL instructors age. As for the rifle it matters little when u allow this type of commentary when other customers are in the store.
