Deanna, We appreciate your feedback. It is certainly disappointing to hear that you feel your experiences have not met your expectations. We welcome you to come in and talk to us about the improvements we are making. Lifecycle Building Center is a nonprofit organization, dedicated to diverting building materials that can be reused from the landfill. One way we do this is through discounted sales of items in our Reuse Center. Our base of donors and breadth of assortment is now larger than it has ever been. Regarding the availability of inventory, we do not restrict access to available inventory from any customer. There are, however, a handful of instances when items might not be available. Because of our growth, we created a processing area to allow us to price and prepare items. Items are not available for sale until they have cleared this process. Once on the floor, items are sold as is, with no exchange, return, or warranty offered. As such, we give every customer the ability to place an item on a no obligation hold for one business day. This allows time to measure or check with others before deciding on a purchase. Items that are sold are obviously not available for purchase. Finally, we are proud of the program called Nonprofit Material Match. We strive to provide other nonprofits serving our communities with free materials that will allow them to complete a key project. Hopefully, this keeps their funds focused on individual missions benefiting others. Items selected by these nonprofits are considered sold. The exceptions mentioned above represent a small percentage of material in our facility, and we strive to find the perfect home for every material we collect through generous donations. Our Reuse Center in SW Atlanta is a historic industrial building. We take the preservation and improvement of our home seriously, but admittedly there is much to improve. Our focus remains on the safety of our customers, our small staff, and those who have volunteered their time to help us in our mission. Other improvements to material organization, the facility, and yard are important as well, and we work towards them as time allows. Thank you again for your feedback, and please know we are always striving to deliver better customer experiences. Sincerely, LBC

I make and sell unique and original items for a living and I was super excited to have discovered a place full of unique and original things that really got my creative juices flowing. The experience began as you approached the place with an outside display of the really cool stuff like large wrought iron fences, cool slate pieces, large stones and planters full of flowers and herbs as you entered. Every time I went I would leave with a truck full of one-of-a-kind materials that I could bragg about to my friends. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well. I even bought one of their T-shirts because it was my go-to place. Unfortunately as time went on each visit became less and less inspiring The staff seemed unhappy and over-worked when you could find them, and pretty much everything that was good was roped off (not for sale) and being held for some huge project underway. I would periodically come back thinking that at some point the projects would surely end but only to find more stuff roped off for more projects and pretty much nothing left for the customers. What used to be a treasure box for loyal customers was now just a storage place for the big fish. Now the experience as you approach the place is just a huge lot that is unkept and muddy all of the time even when it hasnt rained and the area out front where the counter tops are kept looks like a biohazard with standing water. They dont even change the dead plants in the planters anymore. This used to be a place I would have traveled a few hours to get to but as of now I wouldnt drive 20 minutes. I guess that if youre new to this place you wouldnt know what you never had, but take it from me it used to be filled with treasure.
