Cars 2 Renault Barnsley I bought a new Renault Clio from this dealership on the 8th of September 2021. On the 15th of September I discovered that the car had 'fallout' environmental contamination to the paintwork. It was extensive, covering the whole of the car's paintwork. This contamination was not immediately visible but could be felt and on very close examination could then be seen. I contacted the dealership straightaway but found the attitude of the car sales staff unhelpful and their tactics involved appearing to avoid my calls, especially the salesman who had dealt with the sale. The General Sales Manager's response to my complaint, via the Customer Liaison Manager, was dismissive. I received an email entitled 'letter of rejection FINAL RESPONSE' informing me that as neither myself nor my husband had seen the paintwork problem on the day that I drove the car away, it meant that the contamination was not there and it was up to me to prove otherwise. I sought the advice of The Citizen's Advice specialist car service, two body shop specialists, Renault Bristol Street Motors of Bradford and finally Renault UK. None of these professionals agreed with the statements made in the FINAL RESPONSE letter. On the contrary they expressed the opinion that it was obvious that the 'fallout' environmental contamination of the paintwork would have been present when I bought the car. The dealership should have done the correct, professional and decent thing by assisting me to sort out the paintwork repair, but they chose not to do so. It has been more than six months of hard work and effort on my part but the repair to the paintwork has been completed now, funded via Renault UK. I would not recommend the Cars 2 Renault Barnsley dealership. EDIT: I contacted the dealership as requested in their response but was told that these responses are generated automatically and they did not want to reach out to me.

Went to buy an Ibiza fr, salesman Ross was pleasant enough and helpful and I was panning to buy the car. Unfortunately I had to speak to the manager at the end as I was asking for some money off the car due to the bad condition worn cracked tyres which I wanted to either be replaced or have money off the car. The smug manager had an attitude and refused to come to any deal at all on price and on top of that would not stop trying to force a rip off priced warranty no matter how many times I said no, a half decent dealership would of agreed straight away to replace clearly dangerous tyres and learn to take no for an answer when trying to force warranty and paint protection on people. To be honest I would have still probably bought the car and put tyres on myself however the attitude of the manager was the sole reason for not buying. Glad I didnt as the next day I found the same car for the same price with less mileage, warranty included plus 2 free services and next 2 MOTs for free, good quality tyres in good condition and free delivery. I wouldnt recommend this garage if your looking for a good deal as the manager wont offer it.

Been to Renault parts department twice now, And on both occasions come away empty handed, first time I rang for a 2 gallons of oil, the price gave me sounded cheap ,got down there to find the girl on the desk didnt know the difference between a gallon that I ask for and a litre. And recently to find the wrong part had been ordered and was then told I had to have because it was a special order and the couldnt return it, even though Id not even bought it or left the parts department with it either, Empty handed again Never again, back to harratts Wakefield for me Girl on parts is hopeless
