Shelly, Thanks you for your review. Sorry you have a negative impression of our pricing. Some of the prices of older (vintage/antique) items in our inventory are subjective as they may be no comparables, however, the vast majority of what we sell is priced with the same structure we have been using since our inception 14 years ago and it is similar to industry standards at used building material stores across the country. Items are priced 30-70% of new and factor many things such as current inventory levels and condition. Items that are new- perhaps still in the box or unaltered as in the case of a door or cabinet- may, but rarely, are priced up to 70% of new. Currently we have brand new individual cabinets and sets that are priced at approximately 1/3 of retail. Today we received 13 new exterior doors that are now priced at well below the wholesale cost that accompanied them. Our door butt hinges are clearly marked a $1 for a 3.5" and $1.50 for a 4"- Approximately 25% of new. Other hinges may be marked considerably higher when it is justified- bearings, brass or bronze, victorian filigree for example. We are always open to discussing prices with customers if they bring a reasonable offer or want to to do a quick web search to explore new retail costs with us. Bottom line: We simply wouldn't be in business if we operated in the manner that you are suggesting.

They have lots of stuff, some pretty cool things, but their prices are clearly for yuppies with money, most things priced at new or higher such as doors (most without frames) and windows. Little things like hinges were 8-20 bucks a piece! So wish they were more affordable because there's plenty we'd buy. We'll just stick with Arlington Pickers or the thrift stores in Stanwood/Camano because their prices are much more suitable to what their selling and they also have awesome finds. Was very excited to find this place but after seeing their prices, we won't be back, and we're always renovating and looking for cool fixtures.
