Your review is misleading and inaccurate. There are signs posted showing handling charges of $1.50 per file at the front desk, and at both of our counters. Those signs have been there for quite some time. Your bad review prompted a staff meeting and it was determined you were actually undercharged due to the complexity of the files you sent. Each and every one of the files you had sent required her to enter a password, but she still gave you a 50 discount and charged you only $1.00 per file. Your order wasn't a simple open and print of just one file. She spent quite some time printing your files for you and she didn't charge the $35 per hour charges, which is also posted on the signage. Sometimes we waive the file handling charge when it's simply uploading and printing, and/or the dollar amount of copies printed is over $25 (also posted on the signage). I'm sure you can understand that if we spend an hour with a customer for $3.00 worth of copies, we wouldn't be able to stay in business. This is the reason for file handling charges.

This place charges you fees which they don't tell you about. My printer broke and I needed 30 pages printed. I called them, they said it's 10c per page, you can bring a thumb drive in or email in PDF format, it doesn't matter. Expecting to pay about $3 (30 sheets x 10c) the bill was $16. I asked why. The person behind the desk said there are handling fees without giving me any details. I inquired further, moving away from handling fees she then said it cost $1 to open each PDF. I asked her to show me where it says that and I also said I was quoted 10c a sheet when I called. She said she can't find where it says that and she also can't find anything written down about handling fees. She could not give me a break down of costs. She then stood there implying this conversation is over. So I paid and left. I won't be going back here again. They should have been up front about the total costs because I did ask them on the phone and in person. Printer Ink, thank you for your detailed reply, this helps me understand your pricing. When I called for a printing quote, if I was told "$0.10 per print, $1.50 to open each file and $35/hr handling charge" that would have been amazing.
I apologize for the miscommunication on our end. We have been working out bugs throughout this pandemic. At that time, I personally was working remotely from another state, and I'm the one monitoring the [email protected] email account. I do see where I responded to your email. We do get a lot of spam emails with printing requests, so I always respond requesting a call before we open unexpected files as we are fearful of viruses. Usually our front office staff is very good about returning emails and calls. I'm not sure how this one slipped through the cracks. I truly hope we can resurrect your opinion of us by giving us another chance. Nancy Mullison

I have been using Printers Ink for several years and they have great employees. The last time I tried to get some printing done the service was terrible. I emailed a file to the address indicated on their website, then was told it was not the correct email and instructed to call the shop in the morning. I called them, was given the correct email, called back after resending it, and was told to wait for a return call. I waited all day with no response so I called again before closing. I was told that their computer flagged my email attachment as a possible threat, and due to my phone number not having a Woodland area code the manager decided my request for printing was very suspicious. Instead of calling me back to discuss he told the employee in charge of my project not to call me back. Does he think they can get a computer virus by making a phone call?? I needed some time sensitive work done and they wasted my time and pushed me past my deadline. I sent them an email voicing my frustration but they never replied. I wanted to give them another chance due to my past experiences, but evidently they don't care so here is their one star review. I contacted another shop and had my job completed in less than 2 hours. I currently need to print a couple hundred brochures for work so its time to find a new printer.
