This was a very unpleasant experience. My wife and eye booked appointments back-to-back. From the get-go, the receptionist ignored us until another staff member came over to give us our intake forms. Once in the exam room, the doctor grabbed my wife's purse without asking permission to move it, pulled her mask down without asking her to do it herself, and then gave me Lumify eye drops (that had nothing to do with my appointment) without consent or telling me what they were prior. My wife is pregnant and we are already weary about being out. This was very uncomfortable to say the least. When I called to book an appointment, I asked about retinal photography to which I was told it was not mandatory and I could choose the traditional dilation. At no point was I told that the office was not dilating eyes. At the appointment, Dr. Gendal told me he wasn't dilating during Covid. I made sure to ask about this over the phone and was still given bad information. He mentioned how he was feeling "terrible" and offered a BOGO retinal photograph (2 for $40.) He mentioned he didn't want this on his conscience (referring to not checking our retinas.) This felt like a total bait and switch. We were in a bind at this point. We already had our eyes checked, so it would have been difficult finding another optometrist to forgo the full exam and only perform the dilation and retinal exam. So, my wife and I opted for the photographs, because we felt like we didn't have a choice at that point. To cap things off, when we were leaving, the receptionist made sure to place all the Lumify products on the counter just for us and assumed the sale. It was like exiting through an infomercial. No, we didn't want any of the products nor did we buy them.

WE ARE IN PRACTICE FOR 40 YEARS AND WE ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THIS COMMUNITY FOR MANY GENERATIONS. TO SAY WE HAVE BIGOTED UNDERTONES BECAUSE WE GAVE YOU LESS THAN PERFECT SERVICE IS NOT WHAT WE ARE. My initial visit for my eye exam went well. The staff/ doctor were friendly and approachable , when helping me select a pair of glasses. Unfortunately when I returned to pick up my new glasses a tall elder male at the counter was extremely rude. Through his body language I could tell he really didn't want to assist me,but all other staff members were busy at that time. When I asked him for an adjustment instead of using the eyewear equipment,he bent my brand new glasses by hand and didn't even want to provide me with cleaning wipes. He then simply walked away and stared at me from afar. His behavior was extremely unprofessional ,awkward, and with bigoted undertones to say the least. I left feeling very disrespected and definitely an unsatisfied customer.

At Vision World, the staffs there are very professional and welcoming. Most importantly they have patience. Another good thing is when me and my family appear for an appointment and/or visit, the services are prompt and easy.
