Katie was never a client of the Debbie Marie Real Estate Group. She was a tenant who rented from one of Debbie Marie's client. Katie moved out a few months prior to the end of her lease term because she had a job relocation to Arizona and one of her roommates vacated because they didn't get along. She was reminded several times to remember to return her house key and failed to perform per the lease contract to return all keys on time. As a result, Debbie Marie's client had to change the locks and purchase new keys for the new tenants due to security and safety reasons. Her client charged against the tenant's security deposit a minimal labor and material fee for this service. Katie wrote several inappropriate and unprofessional emails to Debbie Marie. Had Katie been responsible and returned the keys on time as per her contract, there would not have been a charge. This review is defamatory, inaccurate and with intent to create harm to Debbie Marie who was doing her job of protecting her client and their property.

Debbie was my landlord for a year. The entire time we have had nothing but problems. She is a shady business person and lied to us about hiring contractors. It would take her forever to get projects done as she would do them as cheaply as possible- so they were truly never fixed. It got to the point where my other roommate and I moved out early purely to stop dealing with her personally. She will cheat you of your money and I would recommend never doing businesss with this shady lady ever again. I have never written a bad review about anyone, and she has pushed me over the edge. I repeat avoid falling into her lying trap.
I normally dont write reviews, but Debbie is that good. I have had experience working with other agents buying and selling properties before and I have to say Debbie is on another level. It has been one of the toughest markets as a buyer during the pandemic - but with Debbies patience, understanding and expertise, we were able to find and snap up our dream home. When the home we wanted finally came on the market, within 24 hrs it already had 5 offers over asking price and about 100 showings booked solid over the next week. Debbie managed to work with the selling agent into the night to get us in on Day 2 before all the official booked showings started. After seeing the property, we knew this was the one and then Debbie went to work. Within ONE hour, Debbie pulled all the stops - basically stopped a bidding war in its tracks and got us under contract. All in ONE hour. And the rest was history. What was most impressive about Debbie was that there was no task she couldnt handle, no obstacle she couldnt overcome. She continuously managed to make the impossible, possible, every step of the way. More importantly, she really listened for what we needed and what mattered to us. Having said that, I would hate to be anyone going up against Debbie in a deal. After this experience, Debbie is now officially my agent of choice and I would not hesitate to recommend her to my friends and family.
Full disclosure, I've known Debbie for over 15 years and consider her a good friend. Our friendship has nothing to do with picking her to be my realtor. Quite frankly, she's very good at her job and when it comes to property transactions, she is truly passionate, knowledgeable and a professional. Actually, I feel the friend mask comes off and serious realtor mask comes on. Let's be honest, this is going to be the biggest purchase in your lifetime, and you want someone with some experience and that will work hard for you. This is what happens when you pick Debbie and company. She and/or team will have a conversation with you to understand your situation, and needs. She'll come up with a plan and go over in detail what you need to do. There will be a lot of things you need to do, but her team is well organized, keeps things straight for you and can walk you through the process. Before you know it, you're in escrow and in/out of your new/old house. She has helped me purchase 2 properties, and sell 2 properties. When she sold my last house, it was on the market for 5 days with multiple offers all during a pandemic! This isn't something a novice agent with willy nilly plans can do. It took experience and a good strategy to execute this quickly.
I chose Debbie to represent me as a buyers agent as a first-time homebuyer in late March 2017. I had been casually searching the market for about 6 months, visiting open houses on weekends and considering condos, townhouses and lower-priced single family houses. I met Debbie at an open house and was impressed by her no-shill attitude and overall willingness to answer my questions about the total cost of ownership. I interviewed three other Realtors and looked at their reviews and sales on Zillow and made the decision to go with Debbie based on her experience, performance and high rating. In our first meeting we discussed my goals for the purchase and which criteria were important to me (single family, good schools, strong rental value, well located). She set up a custom filter on the MLS based on the school mapping and we began to visit potential candidates together. We made a few offers that were rejected before finding a well-sized SFR in Mission Viejo that was in need of some repair. By viewing it at the first opportunity and working with the listing agent Debbie was able to get our offer accepted at below listing price (being a fixer upper and needing some work). During escrow there were some tough negotiations regarding the repairs and Debbie fought on my behalf to get as much as we could towards the closing costs. We were able to close in a bit past 30 days. Overall I was quite satisfied with the transaction, even if there were a few details about the lot layout we did not notice during the open house. Debbie is a very active agent as seen by her sales performance but with the help of technology she was always accessible. We had texted throughout the day as questions had arisen and had talked on the phone at least every couple days throughout the process. Her assistants at Teles Properties supported some of the scheduling and paperwork (most of which we signed through DocuSign to expedite the process). Debbie has made it a point to offer her expertise and advice even after the transaction to help me achieve my goals for the property. I will look to her as a reference for my real estate needs as long as I am in Orange County and feel fortunate to have begun this relationship with her. I would recommend her to anyone buying in this competitive market. Thanks again Debbie!
