Hey Red Rock Resorts and Station Casinos. Sell it or open it. The Fiesta Henderson is quickly becoming an eyesore that apparently only caters now to inconsiderate lunatics looking to use its parking lot and garage for racing. With your pathetic barriers, cones, and tape and in the absence of any meaningful security, ensuring that the property is not abused and therefore disturbing the peace and quiet of nearby residential zones has fallen upon its residents. We once had the privilege of having food, gambling, and entertainment within walking distance. Now? We have shrubs and trees that showed significant signs of damage nearly four weeks after several of the large storms we endured during the summer. The property is not being maintained regularly, absent extraordinary circumstances it seems, and the police are now routinely perched in the parking lot for what I imagine have been the numerous noise and racing complaints. Since you apparently have no concrete plans to reopen the Fiesta because it may cannibalize your profits at your remaining properties (your words, not mine, Frank Fertitta), then I would highly encourage the City of Henderson to stop giving you a free pass to create this nuisance. With your plans to open your new and improved Durango property on the Southwest side of town, your decision to hold onto the Fiesta, not opening it, and creating an outdated and ridiculous eyesore that welcomes visitors to the new and improved downtown Henderson is just stupid. Getting off the 95 or 215 into Henderson is now met with this dead, disgusting property and Im just bewildered how approaching January 2022, youre still closed. Sell it. Or better yet, City of Henderson: Eminent domain the property and turn it into another park. You sure love your parks. This would be a great one.
