We do carry a 16-qt. private label potting media called Merrifield Potting Mix, which sells for $12.99. Unlike topsoil, this potting mix is a blend of various organic ingredients, including premium, long-fiber sphagnum peat, composted pine bark, perlite, vermiculite, starter fertilizer, lime and a wetting agent. Over the years I've spent thousands at this place. I can say they are competent and provide a good service. They have never been inexpensive, but in the last years their prices became ridiculous, This year the gouging has skyrocketed and they are simply a RIP OFF. They charge $12.99 for a small bag of their home brand topsoil. An outrageous sum since you can get similar for less than $3 at the Home Depot, nearby. They have determined that there are enough affluent people around who don't really care if Merrifield Garden Center picks their pockets. I am not one of them.

***Still no response, customer service seems to be a low priority here*** **Update: Still no response from Kevin** *Update: Email sent 9 days ago, No response...what's the point? 2 stars because the delivery driver gave my SO the receipt for my Valentines day flowers, a bit tacky in my opinion. Made our dinner date later that night a bit uncomfortable since she felt like her gift to me wasn't as good since she saw what I spent on the flowers alone. Also, the delivery man made her feel a bit uncomfortable waiting around for a tip. She didn't give him one because the receipt he gave her was a $30 delivery fee to go 2 minutes down the road. The online service, customer support via the phone was great.
