Hi Marc, On March 17, 2022, Jill asked me to wear a mask and I, unfortunately, did not have one in the salon that day. I ran out of my one-use masks and forgot to bring one from home. At no point did I tell Jill that I would not wear one, only that I did not have one. If a client wants me to wear one, I have no problem doing so. The salon is now fully stocked. This has never been an issue in the past. That particular day, I was unintentionally unprepared. Jill was not charged for the service. I sent out a mass text to everyone notifying them that masks are now optional in the salon prior to her appointment. Sorry to hear that Jill did not receive that text.

My wife and daughter had been clients here over the past year. Haircuts and coloring were competent, hence the 3 stars. On my wife's last visit (March 17, 2022), the stylist was not masked, and refused to mask when my wife (immunocompromised) requested. She then said "you may as well stay, because I'm going to charge you either way", which is an interesting way of retaining clients. I get that the mask requirement is lifted, but if you're going to make an inflexible change, you should notify your clients so they can make an informed decision and cancel in time if they choose.

Julia has been cutting my hair for almost five years now and I would be lost without her. I am not a "hair" person - I don't know how to style my hair, I'm challenged at using a hair dryer, and most days my hair has a mind of its own. Julia takes care of all of this for me! She always makes sure that I'm comfortable with the style and that I won't be lost when I'm doing it on my own. She talks me through my options when I'm tempted to just shave it all off. And she makes me feel beautiful even on the days when I feel anything but. I frequently get comments on my haircuts and Julia is the only one who can receive credit for that. The prices are competitive and I find that most of what I'm paying for is the peace of mind that my hair stylist actually wants me to love my hair and that's exactly what she does.
