Technician threatened me over phone. He said "Don't forget, I know where you live". They must hire top-notch people huh? Notified the police afterwards. UPDATE: The manager did get back to me and apologized, then we negotiated a free service call. They came to my house and unclogged a drain that was caused by poor installation. They tried to charge me and when I refused they said that my warranty was void. Please avoid this company. They do not honor their word and hire people of questionable character.
Called then charged 100 to look at it. Then charged 200 for it to be fixed. Worked partially for 4 days called numerous times to come back out. The technician said he would have to charge me another 100 dollars to look at it and then whatever it would cost to fix again. No thank you worse service ever. Update: Called different AC Repair to come look fixed in ten min. Only cost 95 dollars. A1 didnt fix the issue to begin with. Ac repair said what cost me 300 with A1 would have only cost 145 with them. Learned my lesson, still waiting on A1 to return call never has.
We had our AC go out and gathered quotes from a few different companies, but A-1 had a great quote and were able to come out quickly for the install. They are very knowledgeable and professional. I liked the AC manufacturers they carried and were familiar with, and I was happy with their financing options. They are also TVA certified, which was important to me since we were replacing an ancient gas system with a new electrical system. Highly recommended.
I am sorry I ever called this company to look at my issue but seeing how they installed the HAV system in my new built house 1 year ago it was still under warranty. Issue started early on a Tuesday morning lighting stuck very close to my house and I lost the downstairs air thermostat has no power. I called this company first thing in the morning (9:00 am) was told no one could be out until Thursday between noon and 3 pm. At 3:30 on Thursday no one has shown and no one has called so I called for a status was told someone will call me back within an hour with an update (will soon find out they say this to get you off the phone and no other reason) 5 pm no tech and no call called again was told someone will be calling me in the next hour as the tech assigned to me is still on another call and my call has been assigned to someone else. 6:15 tech calls and says he is on the way shows up a little before 7 pm ( 4 hours late but if what they said was truthful and they were on another call understandable but does not excuse lack of communication) tech looked at the system I showed him the thermostat that has no power - - he looks at it says thermostat appears fine it is not getting power from the main unit goes in our attic after 45 minutes comes down and say the issue is a board has blown and that board sends power to the thermostat and he cannot jump it to get us working temporarily. He says he does not have the part and it will be the next day first thing when he can check and he will call us and let us know status. BTW that will be $98 - Friday morning 10:15 am no call we call to check on status are told someone will call us within an hour with the status 12:45 no call yet we call are told the tech is out to lunch and will call us with status when he gets back a few choice words made it very clear we were not happy a little after 1 tech calls and tells us he was wrong and that after talking to someone else (who never came to our house let alone looked at our unit) and the other person said it was a motor and that would need to be ordered wont arrive until sometime next week not sure when at this point we told them to forget it we are not going to trust the opinion of someone who has not looked at our unit. We called LB Chase (now 1:30) at 1:45 we got a call back saying someone will be out within a couple of hours - they were out at our house by 4:00 saw the thermostat was getting power that the thermostat was blown (Finchum tech said it was fine) went to look at the unit saw another issue blower motor board (motor was fine) he jumped the board (Finchum tech said he could not) and installed a new thermostat 5:30 pm we had air conditioning Chase tech left saying he has to order the board. The manager of Finchum called us back and we demanded our money back says he could he could not authorize it owner had to said he will call us back with status (no this is NOT a joke) he did call back and we supposedly will be getting a credit on out credit card we are also notifying our credit card company to contest this
