They offer lots of great services. Used the food shelf for the first time they gave me so many items majority of the fresh items were organic which made me happy. But when I arrived home & started unpacking the food I noticed more than half of the items were expired many months ago some things over a year ago. Some families may be ok with that- I dont want to seem ungrateful because its an amazing food shelf & they really try to help but in my case I am not comfortable with my kids or I eating expired food. The volunteers were great too but they should be checking & getting rid of the expired items I dont see how they are able to give year old items away to familys in need I dont see it as fair as they are the ones that need food the most so they either have two choices to throw it out or eat old food. Thank you interfaith outreach for the amazing volunteers & the food you did provide for my family that was safe to eat!!
