Not nice place. The manager Eastern European was not with good manners.. basic food, nothing special. Didnt feel comfortable there with the managers attitude.
Ordered soup and eggs benedict. The soup is delicious, as are the eggs. However ordered twice And the order was incomplete despite sending notes to the restaurant. On a separate occasion, went to the restaurant to enjoy food there. There was a long wait to get a table, once seated we didnt get offered water or even a menu for 10 mins. When I stood up to speak to (who looked like the guy in charge) to ask for water, menu and coffee, he said I could leave if I was in a hurry. I didnt even have time to ask for water pr say anything before he said that. Great food, not so great service :(

As a new independent start-up we are constantly learning and striving to provide very good food with excellent hospitality. Unfortunately, we were not able to achieve that in your case. Very unfortunate also, that there is no gap for small business to make any mistakes in such a competitive industry, in such a difficult time, without being publicly exposed. That is often with locals with certain expectations. Luckily, we are not a million-pound company or a big corporate chain, rather a small independent business which focuses on all guests and will not neglect such reviews. We take all complaints and comments very seriously and learn from them fast. Therefore, we were hoping you would accept our offer and apology when you mentioned what had happened after you had paid for our services. This most certainly shouldnt have happened and I regret not seeing this occurrence before it did. Both of the owners of Charlottes Cloud café will do our utmost to ensure that this is a one-of. As mentioned to you, there were unforeseen circumstances which affected our service at the time of your visit and I personally can only apologise for that. It is a tough industry and we are paying the price for that, with the damage that a negative review brings. What a shame! As local residents we were pleased to see this new independent place open up, which replaced another coffee shop that had gone bust last year. Keen to support local businesses we decided to have brunch here. On arrival we were not greeted which was strange as the place was not busy. After sitting down we noticed a table became free outside so we asked of we could swap tables, no one bothered to come and clear the dirty plates of the previous customers so we had to do it ourselves. Food finally arrived and my Eggs Benedict was almost inedible. The sauce was congealed and the egg (which is supposed to be at least a bit soft & runny) was totally solid - see photo. My partners' burger was also overcooked and tasteless. The manager appeared to be around, but was not engaging with anyone which is a big shame given this is a new business trying to make an impression. It certainly made an impression with us, but alas a very bad one. We won't be returning.
