Nice folks but they don't follow up very well ... Communication is an after thought
Heather, thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. We are very sorry to hear that you are still dissatisfied with your contract and our efforts over the past several months. We take compensation seriously and are hopeful this is evidenced by our offer to advocate for a pay increase for you with our client. We also hope this was shown in a small way by paying for your certification beyond our current benefits offerings. We will continue our efforts to better align with you on your work load and pay. We have made specific changes to our onboarding process for this client to ensure we better emphasize certain information to avoid situations like this in the future. This includes more clear communication and language in our paperwork, and updates to our requisition process for enterprise clients. While we do our best to learn and share as much information as we can about each role presented to candidates, there will inevitably be information - or even changes - that may need to be uncovered in the interview process. Hiring process went really well, however after starting my new role was informed that my job was actually 3xs what I signed up for without any adjustment to the rate agreed upon. Even the account management/leadership admitted their failure to #1 get details upfront vs assumptions & #2 failed to inform me the client I was working with had a mandatory 3 week no pay shut down for contractors during Thanksgiving, Christmas & the New year. Apparently I didn't read the fine print. My question to ProFocus is what is your role as consulting firm outside of # 1 define the job one would be performing (to match skill sets/experience) to facilitate transparency about the role up front & # 2 communicate things you know as "norms" for the clients you're soliciting talent for before a new employee accepts a role. Finally, #3 honesty & integrity. After finding out the job wasn't what we agreed upon ProFocus you should have adjusted the pay accordingly. Instead I was told your hands were tied. I would not recommend this firm.
