I left early and couldnt find parking. Was literally driving around to find a spot. Im never late. I get there after walking several blocks sweating with a hurt back and happen to be 15 mins late. There wasnt anyone waiting and my stylist was sweeping hair in the corner. These haircuts are like $100+ and Ive started taking my son here. They turned me away when I got there because I was late, glad I didnt pay for parking. For a place like this with so much overhead cost and having been hit hard by COVID, to turn me away for being late once (parking issues Uptown and construction) its pretty terrible service. Ill never come back here. No need to waste my time parking, driving around uptown, walking to get there, and then paying $$ for a haircut. I was even planning to increase my membership there. Forget it! Ill find a better place with better customer service.
Yesterday I took my seven year old son on the train down to Charlotte just to have fun for the day. He decided he wanted a haircut ! He looked in the window at Emerson Joseph and he said it looked like a really cool place for a haircut so we went in. As I attempted to inquire about a haircut for my son with a young white female, our conversation was interrupted by an older white lady. She didnt even look in the computer for an appointment to see it anything was available, she said they were all booked for the day and we may have better luck at a barbershop down the street which was a place called The Cut. The down the street she referred us too a barbershop. So I said ok no problem and proceeded to leave. Not sure if its her issue with our skin or if its Emerson Josephs, but its 2022 people! Get over it! I was willing to spend whatever it cost for my child to have an experience there! But I guess the white gentleman that came in after us made the cut.
