David, Thanks so much for giving us a try. You're right - during COVID we ordered very little. We were unsure if we would make it through the pandemic closures. What little money we had we used to keep paying our staff. I remember you. On weekends, all the owners work in retail. Each of us has a separate expertise. We try to apply that expertise selectively to make sure that we answer questions and offer advice to the best of our ability. I do hope you try us again. Weird experience. Waited on by 3 different people in ten minutes. I know its just barely post Covid but no inventory to speak of. It was like a scowl when they found out mens 10. No closed heel at all available. Going back to my old stand by down south.
Thanks, William, for complimenting your instructor. All retail entities that sell new gear agree to a "minimum advertised price." Some manufacturers are more aggressive than others about enforcing the prices online. We try to be fair. We also offer our customers the opportunity to try gear they want to buy in the pool. In addition, you can rent gear from us and apply the rental price to your purchase of the same class of gear. We also discount package pricing. Finally, we are staffed with people who know a great deal and can offer advice based on real world experience. I do hope you give us another try.

While I would like to support my local shop, their gear is way more expensive than what I can get online. The instructor for scuba training was great.

If you are in the Denver area and want to get SCUBA certified, you need to come here! I took the class this winter and had a wonderful experience. The staff and teachers are all so incredibly friendly and make you feel extremely comfortable through the entire process. I was a little nervous, and they were very understanding and really helped me through some of the fear I had. We were never rushed through any skills and we had plenty of time to practice anything again. The classroom sessions were also very engaging and they created a really great learning environment. At the end of the course, they gave us celebratory champagne and a really great dry bag for diving. It was very thoughtful and sweet. After you take the course, you can come back in for FREE practice sessions each week (it is also free to use equipment during these sessions), which is an amazing deal. Even after you get completely certified, you can set up times to use the pool and continue to practice/refresh on skills. Thank you to everyone at Denver Divers for everything you do!
Dear Brianna, We hope you enjoyed your trip to Hawaii! We are sorry to hear that our services did not meet your expectations, though we noticed that your children have not been enrolled in lessons with us since last fall. Our Swim School philosophy is that learning to swim is a journey and requires regular practice - this is why we schedule students for year-round ongoing lessons. Children grow and change so quickly that it is important they have regular swim skill practice to help keep their skills up, help them build confidence, and help them expand their knowledge through interactive learning. This is critical, especially for young children such as yours. Swimming lessons are only one part of a layered approach to water safety and learning to be strong swimmers who are comfortable and independent in the water requires practice and play in many water environments. What a great gift you were able to give your children, by spending a month in Hawaii with the opportunity to swim every day! We always welcome feedback to help us improve. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have specific suggestions about how you think we could improve, though just to clarify we always offer to credit your account if we have to cancel lessons for any reason and makeup tokens are always issued for missed lessons with advance notice. We did audit your account and it appears the entire last month of enrollments for your children were scheduled as free make-up lessons.

RESPONSE TO THEIR RESPONSE: We unenrolled my children after 4 years of swimming there because they were still unable to swim despite having done lessons there weekly (and for half the time, twice weekly) over the course of those 4 years. They were only making progress when Cada was there. ALSO, It's absolutely untrue that you allowed a makeup when I had to cancel my last lesson due to a fever. I have an entire email thread with Emily proving that. And if you stand by your statement below, I would appreciate a long overdue refund. -- Spent thousands of dollars taking my kids here to learn how to swim with very few improvements over the years. Spent 1 month in Hawaii playing around in the pool everyday and they learned more in that month than they ever did here. Additionally, they will cancel lessons on you for all kinds of reasons but if you have to cancel because of fever or covet symptoms, they will not reimburse or reschedule your lesson. The only good thing about this place was Cada and now she's gone.
