Hello Sheila, I'm sorry to hear you are unsatisfied with the repairs we've done to your vacuum. I looked at the history and found we did replace the neck on your Power Nozzle and then several months later we replaced the handle release (for the cost of the part only. No additional labor was charged). I checked on both of your original repair WorkOrders and did not see any mention of the "ratcheting" sound you mentioned. I'm sorry we missed this. It almost sounds like there was a "mis-communication" between our counter people and our service department. I fully understand your frustration. If you would be willing to give us another shot to get this ratcheting noise (we missed) corrected I can assure you there will be no additional cost other than the trip back to us. Incompetent. They replaced our power nozzle "neck". It made a ratcheting sound. They said to bring it back. We did. They told us another part was broken and they fixed it with more money due. The original ratcheting sound is still there.

Saddened by our experience with A-1. We bought a re-conditioned vac, less some parts that come with it. Only to return home and after plugging the model into google to find the same exact model for the same price we bought the reconditioned one for. We will chalk it up to our own inexperience, but I still think some shame is earned by their saleslady.
I truly love this place. I regret not knowing the name of the fellow who helps me out there but man is he a rare find in sales and customer service these days. I bought a Miele vacuum here a few years ago when we became alarmed at the level of lead in our home and started learning about the potential risks for our one year old. We had an old Kirby vacuum at the time and it always stunk up the place after we ran it. I did so much research on vacuums to ensure we would get one that would keep the content where it belonged once in the bag and would not re-exhaust causing lead dust or allergens to fly. We also wanted a tried and true quality product that would last. The gentleman who helped me sort out what would be the best fit for us then, was the same dear gentleman who answered the phone and greeted my 3 year old daughter and I tonight just before closing to help us out. Such a satisfying experience that is so detrimentally rare these days. I was back today to get refill bags (my first refill box after my original purchase just over 2 years ago). I could not be happier with our vacuum, its performance, our experience shopping and making a decision at A-1 or the customer service we continue to receive. It is such a fortunate experience to be able to go somewhere in our neighborhood, that is trustworthy, knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, and enjoyable to do business in person, walking out with a product right then and there that I feel 100% about and backed byin our disposable, save a buck at any cost, once removed, on line everything world. And, to know I am supporting a local long time family run business is all the more fulfilling. It always comes back to the simple things that are most profound in life.
