I am a high school coach who ordered a significant amount of gear for my players this season. I work in a socio-economically disadvantages community and I chose to work with JAM Design based on the recommendation of a colleague. Initially, our conversations were cordial and seemingly productive. However, my involvement with this business has left me, my players, and their parents frustrated and I am personally almost $200 in debt. I began the process of putting together an order in mid-April and as of 6/15/19 am still missing portions of my order. I was initially quoted a package price of $80 (sweatshirt, windbreaker, sweatpants, and tshirt), which although a stretch for some of my families, many chose to purchase. After I had collected my order forms and the money from my players, I was told that it would be closer to $90 for the package. I did not feel right asking my players and their families for more money, and covered the additional cost myself. I was told that paying in cash would speed up the process, so I naively obliged. After driving 25 minutes to meet up with one of the owners, I paid him and was given no receipt. Afterwards I realized, I was never given a formal invoice with a break down of the prices - simply an email saying how much I owed. The order was finished in bits and pieces; tshirts one week, sweatpants two weeks later. Considering these were all ordered together, it was quite a task to pass these pieces out individually. Additionally, theses items were not delivered to me or my school. I had to, on many separate occasions, drive 25-30 minutes to various locations to pick them up. I was notified that the windbreakers were on back order, but was not told how long they would take. When I requested a refund for the jackets (as they were not seemingly going to be completed before the end of the school year) I was denied. Fortunately, the jackets were completed so that I could pass them out on the last day of school, however, I was missing six jackets. When I addressed this with the owner I was told, "we are not responsible for what happens to them after and have never had quantity issues before." I took this to insinuate that I was some how lying or that he assumed I had lost some of these jackets, which was certainly not the case. In my final correspondence with the owner I respectfully requested a $150 refund for the missing jackets, as I would now need to buy them on my own. I was clear with the owner that if this could not be rectified, that I would report them. Again, I was denied and was told, "I have no more time to deal with it. We have serviced small and large orders for sometime now and it is not my duty to recreate items that we have created." Ultimately, I will never do business with, nor recommend anyone to do business with this company again.
