Hello, are you sure you have the right shop? There are 5 body piercers here at SCT and our policy is we do not handle our phones during piercing procedures ever. This is unacceptable and if one of our piercers did this they would be removed immediately! Everything that touches your skin is sterilized in a very special autoclave called a Statim. Proof of sterilization is provided to every client. GLOVES ARE CHANGED BETWEEN PROCEDURES. It is impossible with our setup to not change gloves between clients! Each person has to go through a sign-in process required by the Los Angeles Health department before getting pierced. We then have to set up an entirely new setup for our Statim autoclave and run a sterilization process. It is not possible for the piercer to keep dirty gloves on from client to client. Our system is set up so that can not happen. We only use the highest quality implantation-grade materials like titanium and 18kt gold body jewelry from Anatometal America's top jewelry producer. Your body piercer knows this and tells people on the phone these things many times a day. Please call and ask for Clay. I would like to know what piercer pierced you and deal with this right away! Myself and a friend came here because of the great reviews this shop received on not only google reviews but also Yelp. However, these reviews could not be farther from the truth. Our piercer was clearly inexperienced and none of the other shop attendants bothered to correct them. First, this piercer did not follow sanitary procedures. Right before piercing my friend and I, while wearing sanitary gloves, this piercer continuously was texting on their phone. After they finished using their phone, they did not change their gloves, instead they went straight to touching the sterilized jewelry and needle to begin the piercing. In addition to touching a phone, mind you one of the most unsanitary things you could touch before working with someones body, this piercer also did not change their gloves in between my friend and Is piercings. There was visible blood on her gloves from my friends piercing. Next, this piercer was clearly inexperienced. This piercer did not know the correct size jewelry when asked. They pierced us with jewelry that was too large for my friend, after my friend had repeatedly asked for a smaller size. Then when the piercer pierced me, they used a size that was way too small, and now the jewelry is cutting into my skin after swelling. When I asked why the jewelry was so small after, they assured me that it would be fine. Lastly, we were not told what kind of metal was used to pierce us. When we asked them at the end what was used, they told us its the standard. In hindsight, we should have left this shop after all the red flags we encountered. However we felt the need to write this review to make sure no one else goes through an experience like this.
This has nothing to do with what we think or want to do. This is mandated by the LOS ANGELES HEALTH DEPARTMENT. Do you really think we are in the business to turn away clients and money? I'm sorry if the receptionist came off rude, but people often think being told no we have to follow rules is rude. We are only following Los Angeles Heath Department rules and protocol(Logical or not by your perception). We make sure that we provide a safe and clean environment for our clientele and follow all safety protocols. We are doing what is required of us to keep people safe. This includes having all clients and employees wear masks while indoor (AS REQUIRED BY LAW IN ORDER TO KEEP OUR BUSINESS LICENCES.)We are required to have a client show proof of vaccination if we perform any procedures beneath the mask. If a client can not show us proof of vaccination or a Covid test within 3 days of the procedure we can not help them. This is the end of the story that we did not write.

I wanted to get a septum piercing with my friend. Ive been here before and thought they were decent but changed my mind when the lady on the phone had a rude tone in her voice then proceeded to say under her breath that I need a proof of vaccination to enter even though you can still get covid with or without a vaccine lmao. So if i go in with proof but im positive for covid its okay as long as i have proof of vaccination. Thats not logical. She said it so low too so I can barely hear it in hopes id come in and she could kick me out.
I had such an amazing experience at this shop and highly recommend it. I went as a walk-in and was helped out quickly! Dillon was my tattoo artist and did an amazing job. He was patient, kind, and gave great recommendations. It was my first tattoo so I was just a little nervous about where to place it, but he guided me perfectly and I never felt pressured in doing what he recommended. My tattoo came out perfect! While in the shop, there was a long line for piercings. The body piercer was Marv, and even though I didn't get services from him, I 100% recommend. So knowledgeable, kind, and overall just gave the feeling of someone you would want to do the job. This shop is very professional, clean, friendly, and all the other amazing things you could possibly think of. Highly recommend.
Yes, we agree with you. Our head body piercer Steve would be happy to repierce it for you and offer you a rerfund. WE strive to do our best and when something goes wrong we stand up and are accountable. This is a rare situation but we appologize for the inconveniance. Thank you.

I walked in for a septum piercing in February 2022. Perla did my piercing and it turned out very crooked and was pierced on the hard cartilage in my septum rather then the soft part, leading to an incredibly painful healing process before eventually removing the piercing. Before she brought me back someone had me fill out paperwork and did a very poor job of explaining what I was signing. When Perla brought me back she sat me down, looked at my nose to prep me and mark me. When she was finished with the piercing she frowned at it, but let me pay and leave. I ended up getting it re-pierced by someone very knowledgeable that I found on Tik Tok. They told me that my septum is actually deviated and needed to be pierced a certain way to sit right on my face. Overall, I feel like she should have turned me away when she saw my septum if she didnt know how to properly pierce someone with my anatomy. I also wish she had told me what happened when all was said and done, with the opportunity to discuss what could be done to remedy the situation.
