I have an extended warranty on my truck that covers paintless dent repair. I contacted the extended warranty company and they told me to make an appointment with a repair company, and to have that company contact them to verify coverage, and payment. The lady that answered the phone told me that she couldn't do anything until I had a claim number from the extended warranty company. She wouldn't listen, and acted like she was too busy to bother with my repairs. I had a great experience with another vehicle I still own, however I will never give them my business after this fiasco.

This place is awesome!! Great office staff,, and tech Shane is like a magician, he made the dent in our door completely disappear. The cost was very reasonable and was exactly as estimated,,, and it was done on time, in less than a day, again as estimated. Highly recommend this business, wish there was more than 5 stars.

I had a great customer experience with Dents Express. Everyone was very friendly. My car looks brand new and it was super clean when returned to me. The quality of work was excellent, there is no sign of the dents and scratches that were on the car. A brief examination of the paintwork shows a lack of proper surface prep. The edge of the panel that was painted had speckles of rust. That tells me not enough primer was used. The dent was not properly removed either, as we were easily able to still see that it wasn't fully pulled. Also, the fact that the electronic trunk button didn't work when we received our vehicle back was another sign of the body shop they worked with was not detailed-orientated. Even one of the license plate lights were installed backwards. That was another sign that told me the shop was not detail-oriented or careful at all. I would normally expect a manager or shop foreman to examine and approve the work prior to further work or even returning the vehicle to the client. However, it is clear that those steps were not in their repair process. Also, I noticed that the body shop attempted to paint the liftgate panel without removing or properly masking and had to use paint thinner to clean off the overspray. I am very particular and vocal about the poor quality of this work due to the fact that we had previous work done on the rear lift hatch. We were rear-ended four years ago and the work done at that prior body shop was MUCH better than the work done here. There was extensive body work that had to be performed, i.e. significant damage. When we received our vehicle back then, we couldn't even tell that there was work or any paintwork done. Additionally, the electronic trunk button and the license plate lights were installed correctly. Next, I will list the chain of events up to the receipt of the vehicle: We arrived at the location on Manchester for an estimate and left the car off on Friday with an estimate of receiving the vehicle next Thursday (4/25) and $633 estimate. We received a call on Wednesday (4/24) from the body shop, located in St. Charles. They stated that they had a delay and realized that they needed to order emblems after painting. So, with the emblem, so the delivery was delayed to (4/26) and the price increased to $842. Once we received the vehicle, my wife noticed that she couldn't open or close the trunk. She reached out to the manager Margie and she explained that we would have to pay another $130 in order to have the electronic trunk release replaced. If you haven't kept count so far, that's close to $1000 from an initial $600 quote. On top of the poor workmanship and carelessness, this was quite disappointing, considering the trunk release was fully functional when we left the car with them. Lastly, I will re-count how we attempted to resolve the issue: I spoke to the manager Margie approximately 2p on the following Monday (4/29) and she stated that the technician would follow up later that day.. She called at the end of the work day stating that she couldn't get ahold of him and that she would work on it tomorrow (4/30). I've yet to receive a call on follow-up. When it comes to bodywork, it's okay to take a little more time. More importantly, being very particular and meticulous will help resolve many of these shortcomings ahead of time. UPDATE: Margie called me back and they were willing to eat the cost of the electronic trunk release @ $130. I informed her of the paintwork and the dent, and she said that they would look at that as well. We have an appointment this Thursday to have these issues addressed. After their examination, they've waived the additional cost of the $130 trunk release, as well as a complete re-paint and dent removal. I will give them two stars for having to do the work twice in order to get it right. Had they done the work correctly the first time, they would have received five stars. It's a shame because the paintwork and dent removal the second time around was quite good. However, had we not mentioned anything, they would have taken our $842 with a terrible job.
