Took a half day off from work and I went to go look at the black 2018 Camaro SS that is sitting out front of their dealership I walked around the dealership for about a good 20 to 25 minutes no one came out and greeted me there are two sales rep standing on the steps by the front door just watching me as I stood next to the car I made direct eye contact with them neither one came over to greet me ask how my day was asked if there's anything they could do to help when I walk back to my truck to leave one of the sales reps yell " you could not afford that car anyway". Older gentleman with glasses. Will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.
BUYER BEWARE. I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience working with Lucas Chevrolet while trying to purchase a truck, and I will never do business with them again, period. My salesperson (George Fazekas) was completely dishonest with me, and the continuous lies I was told resulted in a significant waste of my time. I will provide a complete step by step of the lies and tactics I had to deal with below, but if you read no further, buyer beware. Thursday 9/10/15 - I spoke to George Fazekas at the dealership regarding the truck I was interested in purchasing. I explained to George that I had been at Elkins Chevrolet the week before and found the same truck but that I was open to giving their dealership a shot. They did not have the model I wanted on their lot, and George said he would look into finding one somewhere else. Friday 9/11/15 - George calls me in the morning to tell me they had located the truck I was looking for at a dealership that's 70 miles away (this is lie #1). I then asked him if it was a possible I could take delivery of the vehicle that evening if we made a deal. I was told yes, it was possible (this was lie #2). - I took a half day and arrive at Noon. We immediately reviewed the features of the truck George located and it sounded like the exact truck Elkins had, so I proceeded to make the deal. We came to an agreement on the financials, and I thought we had a deal. George asked me to put down a $200 deposit, and stated that he had a guy leaving right then and there to get the truck (this is lie #3). I gave them my credit card which they charged $200. George then told me I could go home and that I should call him back around 5pm to see where they are. - At 5pm, I called George. He said he was checking on things and that he would call me back in 15 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes, I called George myself, and at that time he told me that the guys were on the way back with the truck (this is lie #4). He then told me that they closed at 7pm and that depending on when they got back that I might need to take delivery on Saturday. George told me he would give me a call as soon as he knew more. I never got a call back. I called George and left him a voicemail at around 7pm letting him know that I would appreciate an update on what was going on with the truck, and that since it was obvious we could not finish the deal that evening, that I would be there first thing in the morning the next day (Saturday) to finish the deal and get the truck. I never received a phone call back. Saturday 9/12/2015 - I went to the dealership at 9am expecting the truck to be there since I was told they were on the way back with it Friday night. The truck is not there. I speak to George and he continues to lie and act like he expected it to be there too and didn't know where it was (this is lie #5). We then had to wait for the sales manager to get there (I waited over an hour) so George could figure out what was going on. Once he got there, I spoke to him in front of George. I then find out the entire time they were trying to get the truck from Elkins who did not want to give them the truck (not somewhere 70 miles away), no one ever left to go pickup any truck because Elkins wouldn't give it to them, and that basically everything George had told me was a complete lie. At that point I told them they had one hour to secure the truck or I was going to Elkins. After an hour, I had to call them and still no truck, so I went to Elkins and bought it from them (Elkins is an excellent dealership, by the way). I am still waiting to get my $200 deposit refunded. I have called three times. The first time George said he would take care of it; he did not. 2nd Time a Sales manager said he would do; he did not. 3rd time - whoever answered the phone said they were doing it and I still don't see it on my credit card. I will now be contacting the BBB. After all they put me through, they can't even do me the courtesy of refunding my deposit promptly. BUYER BEWARE!!!
