Hi Holly, this sounds like a miscommunication and misplaced effort on our part. We were under the impression that everything was negotiated and handled before you arrived and your husband and son were the ones handling everything. So sorry we screwed this one up. My husband and I were trying to help our son buy his first vehicle, a truck. We liked their inventory, and drove quite a distance to shop there. The sales lady wasn't very attentive, but she did have another customer. My husband and son were there the night before, but I was not, and she did not try to build rapport. with me. My son really liked one truck, and they took for granted that he was just going to buy, and did not work at making a sale at all! They pulled financing and came back with a rate from Chrysler Capital, and I asked to see the callback from the bank. We were putting down 13K cash, so I thought it should be lower. I was worried they were holding points and cashing in extra profit. Dealerships do that, but I wanted the best for my son! The manager left for 10min, and instead of bringing me the callback from Chrysler, he said a better rate came in from Ally, and it was a 2.8% lower rate, saving my son almost 3k in interest. I do not know why he didn't show me the Chrysler callback, just been honest, saying they were going to make a profit, but not today, telling my son his mom is sure looking out for him. Instead it was shady and he made excuses. That led me to want to look deeper at the warranty, and a friend told me instead of a 3yr/36k mile I could get a 6yr/60 mile for the same price, they are pocketing more money there as well. I tried negotiating, explaining that my son needed the best warranty possible since the price was so high. We were at full internet price. We ended up being shy of $500 to make the deal. I asked them to take that $500 off the price since we were at full price. The brakes needed serviced....pretty sure the rotors were warped as it shook when braking, it needed detailed, and a front end alignment. Also the bumper had a huge dent and my son was going to replace it. They were going to service those repairs, but with all of that, we feel they could have met us at the $500 discount. They refused to make the deal. They were unprofessional about it as well. Instead of I'm sorry, this is the best we can do, they were angry we pushed so aggressively to protect our son! You would think they would have respect for someone who can play the game they play daily. Instead, they had distain for us. I told them to call us if they found $500 over night. They haven't called. As we walked out, no one said goodbye. Not the manager, the sales lady walked by without saying a word. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! What happened to check around, I believe we are offering you the best pricing and options, please come back and see us if you change your mind? So if you are going here, understand how to get a low rate and that they will only be nice if you let them cash in on price, warranty, and interest points. I would still like this vehicle, but I would need an apology for the lack of professionalism displayed.
