Had to go in due to a tire they put on a week before but never torqued down so it was about to fall off. I mean, come on now, isn't tightening down a tire taught in Tires 101??
Hi Pete, So you left out a lot of information there didn't you. You forgot to mention we offered you the $500.00 off the tires you where going to buy to offset what you would have made on the other tires so you would have been out nothing. Also you are leaving out I was willing to sell the person 2 new tires for the amount you where looking to sell the used ones for. You also forgot to mention we cleaned the wheels you dropped off. There was also not one mark on your rims when you picked them up. We made sure to show you this. It was the old worn tires that got a little beat up when we took them off due to them being 35 series tires. All of this was because I was unwilling to give the person you sold the tires to free tires. Well sometimes we do make mistakes but are willing to work with anyone

I dropped off 4 rims and tires so they could un- mount tires ( which were going to be kept and possibly sold ) and mount new tires which I purchased through ERT&A . Took a week to get tires . So when I went to get my old tires and get them mounted on other wheels . The other tire place could not mount my used tires because the bead on tires were ruined and shot . All of this was brought to ERT&A attention and they were very unhelpful . I chose this place because it was local and seemed good . Now I cant sell used tires / Im now out that money . And my rims were heavily scratched inside at rim/ bead area . I hope my new tires will seal around rims . This place will never see me other any other people I know . Zero customer service and totally F$&@ed up my rims . STAY AWAY The rims had deep scratches on it after they removed the tires . Nit same as when I dropped them off . The money they offered was kind of irrelevant because its is really hard to find 4 -19 inch tires in that size for that money . Yes they could have solved 1/2 the problem, but if I had taken to a better shop then there would be ZERO problem and all would be good !!!!! Take your time , do research!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE . More info - he offered 2 new tires , which mean that the buyer would have to buy another 2 new ones as they were going on an ALL WHEEL DRIVE car . You cannot mix and match tires on a AWD car . He should know this . Bottom line -would have cost buyer of used tires way more money than he wanted to pay right now . GO TO A DIFFERENT SHOP !!!
I installed a lift kit on my Jeep and needed an alignment performed because I don't have a machine to do it. They almost returned the Jeep until I asked if I was going to get a printout of the alignment. Back on the machine it went. I had imagined the caster was off a little because of the adjustable control arms I installed. The reason for the printout was to see how close I got and if I needed to go back and fix it. Well second time on the machine now two guys are looking at this Jeep all worried. They know caster is adjusted by taking the lower control arm off and extending it using the threads on one end. But that's alot more work than a one hour alignment pays. Sure enough I was off just barely on the left front. No big deal. But somehow they adjusted it even though the front tires never left the ground. Not sure exactly how that happened. Not only that but after asking for the printout it changed from a 2 wheel alignment to a 4 wheel a difference of about 40 dollars. Somehow without replacing anything they managed to fix my thrust angle on my rear axle even though nothing in the back is adjustable. Come on guys... I paid the 109 to be told the truth. Not for someone to mess with the heads on the machine until all my numbers turned green. If you have red numbers that's a chance for an upsell. An alignment doesn't cover parts that need replaced in order to get green numbers across the board. It seems that you can't respond on this forum so I'll just have to extend my review. And drop it down one more star for lying again. It seems one of us still has some confusion here. First a 4 wheel alignment suggests you did something the the rear axle, which is not adjustable at all. Second, adjusting the caster in the front requires lifting the vehicle by the body and removing the back of the control arms from the body, making the adjustment, and then reinstalling it so that the weight of the vehicle doesn't roll the axle right out from under the vehicle. There is no other way to do this even for a seasoned tech. And all 4 wheels stayed in contact with the ramp lift during the entire process. I would bet 109 dollars if I go get a free alignment check somewhere my caster reading would be the same as what the "before adjusting" readings are on the printout they gave me. That sheet also says that it was adjusted to withing specification. Caster is not a wear angle and adjusting caster on a Jeep with a straight axle would cost more money due to the work involved. And is not necessarily required. That would be the upsell I talked about in the previous posting. All I really wanted was an accurate printout of what was really going on with my alignment and the toe fixed. Which technically I received in the "before adjusting" readings... but then I got lied to about what work was actually performed and confusion as to what my vehicles alignment is actually at so I can proceed with my own work. If anyone reading this questions my knowledge I am ASE certified and my Id number is ASE-5387-0782 Camber? I don't ever remember saying anything about camber. My camber was never an issue. You said in your first post it was caster that was adjusted. And then after I called you out on it now you are saying it wasn't. You could have picked something easier to lie about. Camber on a solid front axle Jeep is only done with aftermarket adustable upper ball joints at the steering knuckle, and I do not have adustable ball joints intalled on the vehicle. So he could not have adjusted it even if he wanted to. And no that's not how thrust angle or 4 wheel alignment work at all. If thrust angle isn't fixed the steering wheel will just turn toward the direction the thrust angle is pointing, making the vehicle dog track when viewed from behind. Not only that but the printout I have says you fixed it... And somehow was able to change the toe setting .14 on the rear axle when only doing something crazy like bending the axle would do that. Is that more of that "state of the art" stuff you were talking about?
