So, my experience happened about a month ago. I waited this long to process whether or not i should post this review online, but i still feel strongly that my experience might help some people looking to buy vehicles from this dealership. I first arrived at Ganley in Aurora, it was the end of the day on Thursday. I was greeted by two salesmen who were very young and seemed very unsure of themselves. They brought us in and took notes on what we were looking for. We were very specific about our requirements. Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2012 or newer, Panoramic Sunroof required, Not Black. They looked through their inventory on their computer and couldn't find anything. They both left to talk to their sales manager, Jay, and returned to tell us that they didn't have anything in stock right now, but they know that three vehicles matching our requirements would be on the truck and would be unloaded on Monday. Because we came in today, they would hold the keys for us until Monday night. We left excited, and as we walked out we shook hands with Jay and he confirmed that we scheduled to come back on Monday to look at the cars that were coming in that they were saving for us. Monday comes and we excitedly drive down to the dealership after work. They pull the first of the cars around and its a Black 2011 with no sunroof. I get in, see that its missing those things and immediately hand the keys back to one of the younger salesmen. What a huge letdown. We walk back inside and he pulls up the inventory list again and can't seem to find any 2012s or 2013s that meet our requirements. Apparently the three cars they were holding for us had just sold that day, and so they were trying to find something else for us. Fuming i start to walk out, and the younger salesman stops me and says, "This is crap that they have done this to you, i'm going to give you a deal that i might get fired over." He pulls up the 2014 list and can't seem to figure out if any of them have the panoramic sunroof or not. He plunks at the computer for quite some time and then leaves to talk to the sales manager again. He comes back and tells me that there is nothing he can do for us. As we exit the store, we are approached by Howard the finance manager. He asked us if we didn't find anything we liked. And we related the story to him. He goes back to talk to Jay and comes back and says "From now on, you deal with me." He gave me his card and asked me to give him a call the next day. He also recommended "Los Gallos" which is a fantastic Mexican Restaurant just down the street from the dealership. We took his recommendation and ate there before heading back home. I called Howard two days later and never received a return call. All in all, it seems as though they train their salespeople here to say anything to get the people in the door. We live about 40 miles from the dealership and wasted two trips out that way all because of their not 100% honest ways. The Good: -Excellent Mexican Food just down the street. The Bad: -Stereotypical Car Salespeople -Bad Responsiveness -Say-Anything attitudes Moral: You're welcome to buy your next car from them, just make sure you do your homework on what they actually have on the lot, don't expect them to be totally truthful about their dealings, and don't expect consistent follow-ups.
My name is fayiz Mustafa I was at the dealership on 06/30/2014 I dealt with matt gercko great salesman we had a deal on a vehicle I drove 30 miles to get there With my 6 month pregnant wife I was told that we would sign the papers and I would be on my way but your nasty unprofessional management team of john sestan and jay hoegler canceled the deal last minuet and werent even men enough to come tell me they went and hide in their offices and made matt tell me Ive purchase 2 cars from you guys this would have been my third and I was looking for another car but that will never happen because of those two rude managers who should be cleaning desks rather than sitting behind one and running a ganley dealership I will never buy another car from this dealership and I will make sure my family and friends never buy cars from this dealer ever again .you cant approve a deal waste peoples time then after driving 30 miles change your mind thats why they have cell phones be professional let me know before I waste my time coming to this dearlership to deal with sorry excuses of managers
Really don't like the car buying experience in general but these folks were great. Chadd was great to deal with, no pressure at all. Bought a new Grand Cherokee and Joe showed me how to use all the features, even called me after I took the car home to let me know he forgot to talk about one thing. Very happy with the experience and hopefully the service department is just as good.
My husband bought a truck from there and we were treated horribly. Of course they are so sweet when you are buying but once you spend your money you no longer matter to them. They REFUSED to cover his warranty and his engine went bad at only 57,000 miles! They made excuses on why they wouldn't cover it and one of the service men called me a very vulgar name on the phone. Also the district manager laughed about the situation and made stereotypical comments which were completely unnecessary and really had nothing to do with the situation. They would not cover the warranty even though when we purchased the truck everything was in writing and supposed to be covered! Buyers beware do not shop here, they are horrible and treat their customers like crap! We ended having to pay almost 6,000 for a new engine that should have been covered. Stay away from this place they sell horrible cars and have horrific customer service! DO NOT TRUST THEM! PROTECT YOURSELVES SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!
