Hi Michael - Thank you for the feedback and I apologize for the slight delay in the response. We do our best to reply in 24 hours and I believe we are still within that window of your update. I did check with the club Manager, David, regarding your request. We do have dumbbells up to 100lbs at the club. Our Chesapeake Square clientele does not have a large demand for dumbbells over 100lbs like some of the other locations. We try to select our amenities to appeal to the maximum amount of members for that particular club. Our goal is to maximize the fitness experience for our members and offer amenities that appeal to our specific market such as our salt water pool, functional training, turf areas and vast group fitness classes. Our Fitness Director Roland is happy to assist with alternatives to achieve your weight training goals at any time. I have to downgrade my rating (a low 3 star rating). I've been going here since 2012. On at least 2 occasions (maybe 3), I've submitted feedback and requested that dumbbells up to 125 lbs be added as several other One Life locations have these dumbbells. There are definitely people besides myself that would make very good use of them. Most recently I was told that "we are trying to uphold our family atmosphere", not to mention hearing that several Planet Fitness type interactions have taken place. I know there are people who drop weights and are excessive, but there are way more that do not and are not. Last year sometime, a deadlift platform was added and somehow that is considered to be "upholding the family atmosphere", a phrase whose meaning I'm still trying to figure out (I replied to that email and asked, but never received a response). It's unfortunate and I may consider going elsewhere. I know for a fact I'm not the only one that has asked for this addition, as several others have. I'm not sure what the purpose of feedback is. Edit: Just learned that the area's newest One Life (I believe) at Red Mill has greater than 100 lb dumbbells (up to 120 lbs). Seriously not sure what the issue is with the Chesapeake Square location. Another edit: Interesting to see that I have not received any response to this review or my direct feedback.

Great place for beginners to start lifting weights, staff is professional but there is often a shortage of squat racks and 2.5 lb/5 lb plates. Weight lift 5 times a week and have had to wait 30+ minutes for a squat rack to be open. Only suggestion is more squat racks and smaller size plates and clips. Have also had to wait 25 minutes to use the deadlift platform before. Overall a good gym but could be great with the addition of more equipment, the owners have already implemented more machines which has helped tremendously.

Ive been a member at Onelife for awhile now. Went in for leg day and 4/5 machine are down/broken. The one machine I could use squeaked and could hardly get the pin in The hip thrust machine was broken for MONTHS and Im happy to be able to use it again! Ive reached out to corporate and hope to change my review to a higher rating asap! Think its time for a re-investment back into some new equipment. If not improved I may consider a move
