I remember interviewing for a position at this store as a college student. I have a stutter and was told I couldn't "speak correctly" so I couldn't get hired. Hopefully, they have a new owner that's more accepting of disabilities and isn't living in the stone age

Alberto, I am so saddened by this experience. We certainly have never been nor want to be a store that is only for "the privileged". We have been in business for 30 years priding ourselves on our curated toys, gifts, books and games to encourage learning, development, play and quality family time. Our employees are trained to keep an eye out to assist customers with experienced recommendations, honest reviews that are specific to the child or children in mind. If for some reason on that day, you were neglected by our staff, that was an oversight and we sincerely apologize for your experience. Since covid-19, many things have changed, but with that hopefully a fresh start to continue to provide unique and memorable activities and memories for families for many years to come. Amazon can sell almost everything cheaper, but they cannot provide custom recommendations or community like we have, however, they can and have put independent toy stores out of business nonetheless. I hope that you will reconsider shopping small again with Kidding Around and across all industries. Thank you for your candor and again, sincerest apologies for a regrettable experience that does not reflect the norm.

Seems to me unfortunately that this store is only for the privileged. Walked in for the first time and wandered around for at least over an hour. No one ever approached me or even acknowledged me. The store is quite small so I could hear the employees asking everyone else if they needed help as they walked in and while looking around. At least 3 employees saw me. I went in as someone recommended some learning books and games for my 4 year old. Finally found them and I was so mad I wasnt going to spend my money there. I googled the product and found them on Amazon for cheaper. So much for trying to keep small businesses alive. I'm all for that but when it's made difficult I will Google.. What a shame as I wished I could find a spot I could walk into with my child to see her eyes light up. Would have been worth it for me.

I wish I had a place like this growing up! Great selection of toys for all ages of kids. Especially fond of the whimsical stuffed toys and, of course, the huge variety of LEGOs.

I would like to get to see more of this store, the selection looked interesting, various toys and primer books. I was blocked from coming in for not wearing a mask. I reminded them that there is no current state mandate to wear one (April 2022), and was told that as a small business, they can set up their own rules. (Oh My!) For the record, hand-contact spreads more germs and viruses than passive respiration, and the mask wearing customers were touching absolutely everything! No one was wearing disposable gloves, as you should if a real cross contamination avoidance situation was warranted. Also no one offered me a mask to enter the store, just asked if I had one. (I didn't) I will gladly update my review at some point (more stars hopefully), but I prefer to breathe freely in the meantime...
