This has been a great product for many years however after changing servers for my small business and requesting discontinuation of trend we have had beyond poor customer service. Specifically, no responses to emails and phone messages until I tried to purchase the product again and was able to talk to a person. After finally getting in writing that my account was closed, the company billed me under an old credit card and old email address and has been unable to resolve the issue. Two stars for product but 0 starts for customer service. buyer beware.
Completely useless. Every time I go onto the internet or steam or something I just get 5 popups about my stupid internet at risk from this company. It is getting beyond annoying and I am uninstalling. I cant do anything I want to without being blocked from it, yet it has the green arrow saying the website's okay. And no, I dont use inappropriate websites, its just any website really that does this.
I have used Trend Micro for years with no complaints or concerns. However, today I discovered that I had three different Trend Micro subscriptions for the same set of computers. That I had been getting charged for multiple times a year for a very long time (more than 10 years in one case). I understand that part of the problem is my own - and I'm out the money, that's the way life goes sometimes. However, when I contacted Trend Micro customer support to bring this situation to their attention their response was to shrug their shoulders and ask what else they could do for me. I asked if this was a common business practice for them and they told me that they had sent me emails about the renewals on these accounts (back to this being partly my problem). Not once did they offer for even a moment to make even the most minor of corrections to the situation. They didn't offer to combine any of the subscriptions, they didn't offer me a refund (partial or otherwise) for the years of paying for the same product multiple times. The customer service representative did not seem to be concerned in the slightest that I was unhappy with the situation. "We sent you emails" was the message. I think the only solution I have to this problem is a simple one - after using Trend Micro for nearly 20 years, they have completely and definitely lost my business for good. And I will be policing my subscriptions for internet security and virus protection much more diligently. Such is life.
