While the company seems great and the customer service was good, I had a difficult time getting what I ordered. I ordered the Hollis Teak boots at the beginning of December and even though the website said they were in stock, they didnt arrive for two weeks. When they did arrive, the boots were much darker than the advertised Hollis Teaks and looked a lot like the Hollis Brown. The company explained that that batch of Hollis Teaks had taken on a much darker hue and that they could exchange them for the next batch of Teaks that would be lighter like the ones advertised on the website. I sent them back and after waiting another 3 weeks, received a package from Helm only to discover they were the same exact boots I had sent back. Not just the same darker color, but the same exact boots with the same marks on the leather and everything! I took a picture of the boots I sent back so it was easy to tell. I called the company and they were apologetic and overnighted a new pair of the Hollis Teak boots to me and that pair was a much lighter hue and I love them. It just took a little over 5 weeks to finally get the boots I wanted. Hopefully this was a rare occurrence for the company as it seems many people have had great experiences with them, but my experience was very frustrating to say the least.

My Dad and I came in here one day about 6 mos ago. He was so impressed with the quality of the boots here he went out of his box and bought a really good looking pair. He loves them so much and every time I see him in them I remember our day together and am grateful.

Called in to check on current inventory. To my surprise, Joshua, the owner, answered the phone. He needed to check with their supplier and told me he'd give me a call back. Within five minutes, I get a call and an answer. I asked why he was answering phones. He told me there were some employees out to illness, but he loved the opportunity to get back into the day-to-day operations. You want to give your money to a company like this. I'm a Helm customer for life.
