Mr Zotaj, I appreciate your concern, and I hope to offer you some insight. All medically necessary testing is explained at the time of service, and performing such tests can mean the difference between having sight or going blind. How is it that we supposedly never told him what the test is, but at the same time supposedly said it was 100% covered? We never claim any test is covered, as we do not know until we actually submit the claim to the insurance company if they will or will not actually cover such services. This is what you call "after the fact." We did the best we could to get insurance to cover it for you. This is how insurance works, and most people do not like our system of insurance, myself included. I've personally often been surprised by bills for medical visits that I thought would be covered, but I understand the system and go ahead and pay. I wish you would feel that your father's eyesight is worth more than $50, however. Indeed after multiple attempts to collect past due balances, unfortunately fees are added when accounts are sent to collections. That is beyond our control. If you have any further concerns, please contact us at the office.

Be careful of their surprise billing after the fact. They told my father its covered 100% from insurance. Months later they sent a $50/bill for a test that insurance didn't cover. They never told him what this test is and that he might have to pay for it. We called them during pandemic and left a message. They never called back but doubled it to $100 and now sent to collection. Its not fair to tell people one price and change it after that fact.
I usually don't write reviews but felt this was necessary. I went to Clarity because I recently moved in to the neighborhood and it is 5 mins away from me. I initially went to get my lenses changed and after I left the store I get a call from the staff accusing me in a rude tone as to why did I provide an expired prescription. I didn't realized at that time the prescription expired and neither did the staff at the time of my appointment. So I scheduled a eye exam with Dr. Hendrickson's. I go in the next day and the staff doesn't greet me and does some basic eye exams on me all while making me feel as if they were doing me a favor. As a basic courtesy, your suppose to acknowledge the person who is giving you business but guess they don't care about certain people of color. On the other hand Dr. Hendrickson's is knowledgeable and informative. He took good care of me and explained me on the type of lenses I would need so that I don't stress my eyes. Staff - 0/10 Dr. Hendrickson - 10/10
They messed up my prescription. I went in several times to tell them them that something was wrong and I was told As Ive said before, you need to wear them for at least 2 weeks and that my eyes would adjust. When I brought up a concern on a later visit that the glasses were giving me motion sickness while driving and that I couldnt drive with them on, I was told As Ive said before, you need to wear them for at least 2 weeks. It had been more than 2 weeks I believe. I was told that everything was correct, when it wasnt; even after the glasses were inspected by the doctor. I have been wearing glasses my entire life and know when something is wrong. Fortunately/unfortunately I got busy with work and couldnt afford the time to keep fighting over this. They said that lenses that made my vision curve down like a heavy shelf was normal, and to keep wearing them, when that was never normal for any other pair that Ive ever owned in the entirety of my life. When I pull my glasses an inch or 2 away from my face everything levels out and looks like it should. I am disappointed that they missed this and are making me buy another pair of glasses from a competitor to correct this. I will not be returning because I will be loosing my insurance soon and wont have the ability to bicker back and forward about this issue; and would just prefer to drive further to see someone Ive had a good history with.
