/r wewantplates. Food is good but serving a burger on a piece of wood is a terrible idea. A plate at least catches pieces as they fall off instead od loosing your food to the table.

The Truffle Problem. I've always had mixed feelings about this restaurant. It's a nice and quaint atmosphere, and the people are generally wonderful. I'm writing this review for a Friday night visit where they were able to squeeze us in and deliver excellent service despite the fact that things were clearly crazy (I'm a server, and you learn to recognize the signs of frantic and constant polishing, stocking, and everyone doing everyone's jobs as signs that things are waaaay busy). Our waitress in particular was such a joy with a wonderful smile. And it's because she was so nice and because they were so busy that I didn't say anything, but honestly this is a persistent issue that I've noticed numerous times. Items that are supposed to have truffle on them almost never or hardly do. This time I decided to try something new, the mushroom and truffle pizza, and since it'd been a long time since my last visit, I figured there was no way they still had a truffle problem. Nope. The pizza comes out and there was basically no truffle. I taste it maybe three times, twice on a crust, once PARTIALLY on an actual piece of pizza. The same thing extends to their chips. I've actually sent them back before and the second batch sent back to me still didn't have truffle...Well, my sister ordered a dish that got the chips this time, and yup, you could taste truffle on maybe five pieces. I have no idea why this is an issue - in my mind, one of the line chef's has a vendetta against either the head chef or truffle in general (it's very divisive that way), but seriously, if it's advertised as having truffle, PUT THE DANG TRUFFLE ON IT. Sincerely, a truffle enthusiast.
