The customer service was great, but the food was horrible. OMG. Two bites were enough for me.....My husband had three bites of his food. P.s The cod tasted like nothing.
Nice ambiance. Seems like they try too hard to make food that is trendy, and they kind of miss the mark. They don't give you much for your money. It is over the top expensive.
Had a small bachelorette party of nine catered by SLC Eatery and everything was amazing. The food, service and setup was all absolutely perfect. Will definitely do this again!
Thank you so much for for your review and feedback!

This is the best restaurant in Salt Lake City. I'm not sure there's any category that's totally mind blowing, but everything is executed really really well. Service is spot on, food is spot on, prices are what they should be, drinks are as good as they can be in Utah. Nothing is overly pretentious or overly done up like so many "nice" Utah restaurants. It's all just really solidly good food. The burger might be the exception, in that it's perfect. It's a fancy big mac. They've made the perfect slaw on the perfect bun with perfect meat.
The restaurant industry is notorious for its inability to cultivate the work/life balance that we all hope to achieve in our daily lives. Those of us that work here at the Eatery are actually parents and those of us who are not understand the importance of sharing a meal with your children and celebrating a night out. Children are more than welcome here! We do offer menu options for children, and the chef is more than happy to accommodate any requests that even our youngest diners may have! It was not our intent to make you feel like you were being seated in the back- it was just the seating rotation. We happily moved you to another table, and the next reservation that came in was seated in that section. We are happy to hear that you loved the food! We will take your feedback in regards to service and use it to become an even better restaurant! We would love the chance to win you over! Please contact us at [email protected]. Thank you!

Tonight I took my wife and daughter to this restaurant for a special evening out. We reserved a table for 6:30 and when we arrived there were probably 6 tables filled in an otherwise empty restaurant. My guess is this restaurant has a policy to keep kids out of sight, because we were walked through the already sparse crowd, down a back hallway and seated in front of the entrance to the kitchen. I should have followed my instincts and just left then but my wife told me to give them a chance to make up for it. The waitstaff thereafter was lackluster, and the person pushing the cart around was not eager to discuss the food options, she just kept referring to the card on the table. I’m sure restaurants have had issues with children in Utah; I’ve seen bad behavior on many occasions in restaurants here, but our daughter is well behaved, uses proper table manners, and loves to try unique foods. I’m just trying to save your family from a bad experience, one that will cost you over $100. Don’t take your kids here. If you want to know other higher end restaurants that treat kids well, we have been to pallet, current, and HSL, with nothing but respect. The food tonight was good, and it’s a shame, because I won’t be back. Best of luck SLCEatery, the location is already a challenge - good service would probably do you a lot of good. If the dining room isn’t packed by 7:30pm on a Saturday night, and your food is good, then maybe you need to have a hard look at your customer service and experience.
