I was really disappointed with my experience with Rainy Pass Repair. I shipped my jacket to them and they got back to me in a reasonable amount of time with a quote for the work. They indicated that I'd also be responsible for paying for shipping. The price for the work was about as much as I'd be willing to pay so I asked how much it would cost to ship because that could make or break the decision. They informed me that they could not give me an estimate for shipping which was surprising to me. I continued to try to get some indication or assurance from them about what the price to ship would be but at every turn they were completely unhelpful. There was no attempt to see roughly what similar items cost to ship or anything. They didn't attempt to check with the shipping department to see if they could get a quote. There was just a curt rejection that they could not estimate the price. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the quality of their work but they did so little to help address my concerns that I can't recommend this company to anyone.

Their website claims, 'Turnaround time is typically 1 to 2 weeks.' This isn't true. During the email quote exchange, they never said otherwise. After I sent them the garment, then they said 3 to 4 weeks. How convenient for them to acknowledge this after it's too late for me to choose another vendor. Now my choices are to pay them to ship it back to me or simply deal with them. This is the first and last time I'll use Rainy Pass Repair. For the record, this is to stitch a small patch on a brand new, undamaged jacket. Not the most involved or time-consuming service.

Great service and turn-around time! My 10+ year old jacket was just given another 10+ years of life. So happy I found this place and will be back as needed.

I needed a second zipper added to my jacket to make it a dual zip (convenient for climbing). I explained over an email what I wanted and was quoted for $25. I drove from North Bend to Seattle for the repair, and was told at the counter that it was going to be $150.
