My wife and I visited the Houston location in August for her birthday. I ask the staff did they do anything special for birthdays and was yes. We have eaten at this location several times and have always enjoyed the service and the food. My wife had a filet at the Las Vegas location three years ago that she still raves about. We ordered from the Restaurant Week menu (which was probably a mistake). The meat was not up to The Palm quality nor was the service. I had one glass of ice tea with no refills after meal was brought. While using the bathroom the waiter brought dessert. It was the dessert from the RW menu. Nothing “special” for sure. Then the waiter returned to the table (after we had starting eating the dessert with a single candle that he started to put in my cake, but ended up putting it in strawberry on my wife’s plate and lit it. I was beside myself with lack of attention to detail. It will be awhile before we return. BTW, this is the second time I have reached out to you. Received nothing back the first time.
Over pricing I asked for a medium rare steak and they gave me well done. My daughter order a water and it had lemon seeds in it will never recommend to anyone

I must say I was quite impressed with the texture of all I ordered but garnishing, seasonings ruined it all. Nearly everything I ate, was very disappointing. Especially for the level of standard The palms is providing. Firstly, I have never been to a restaurant that serves seafood, with “pre-added tanginess” to the fish. It was awful. The main problem was that it was overpowering. I couldn’t taste the fish’s flavor. You are meant to create your sauce or garnishes to go along with the fish and give the customers the option to use the sauce’s tanginess, as needed, not to put the lemon in the fish or the tangy sauce in the fish. The sauce should be to the side. I felt like a good Bass was ruined, and i also tried the tuna and though it was cooked perfectly, it was again ruined with the tanginess. Secondly, the octopus, though perfectly tender, was lacking any flavor. It was bland! The green sauce on the plate was also bland. It was converted in some sauce before it was grilled but still bland. And finally, please please lose that chocolate covered coffee beans in the tiramisu, that is just a failed attempt at an otherwise good idea. Why? Chocolate covered tiramisu sounds good, but the chaffs on that coffee Bean was interrupting the smoothness of what a tiramisu is supposed to be. Maybe try the same thing but make sure the bean is peeled. I was picking out chaffs from my teeth all night. Other than the food, the ambience was great, the service was really great too. If I ever come back, I’ll just stay at the bar.
