They treat people nicely and next thing you know you see the ridiculous bill. They did it to me and to the woman ahead of me. She was frustrated, because she was charged for something ($100) she didn't ask for. I chose this office because of their location. I needed to do examination and prescription for buying eyeglasses, which was covered by my insurance (around $300). But they did some additional tests I didn't ask for and ended up paying $90 because they said it was not covered by my insurance. I left very disappointed, but most importantly, I found out later that they didn't even give me the complete prescription of my eyes (Pupillary Distance number was missing) which is necessary to order eyeglasses. So I went back and asked them about it. The answer was again very ridiculous. They said they do the complete measurement of eyes only if I purchase eyeglasses from them! and if I wanted to buy elsewhere, I had to pay extra $30 to get my complete eye measurements. Basically they are trying to rip people off. It's a SHAME! NEVER going there again.

Bar none, the best optometrist and the coolest practice I've ever been to! I had the BEST experience here when I went in for an annual check up and to pick out some new glasses. For starters, the office is immaculate. Parking was super easy and they'll validate your ticket. I was able to valet and walk right in (it's in the lobby of the Waverly building). Dr. Stelzer was friendly, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth (unlike most docs I've seen). The exam rooms have brand new state-of-the-art equipment, and it's an all-around comfortable and homey environment. The hard work and thoroughness he put into his practice is evident, and his ability to translate what he was doing made me feel like I got the quality of care I have been looking for. The staff was very knowledgeable and honest when it came to helping me pick out glasses. I really appreciated their honesty. The selection of frames is really vast and not your run-of-the-mill stuff; they are mostly private label, trendy frames. I love the pair I got! Bottom line, I really enjoy supporting a local business owner especially when you can experience first-hand how much hard work, care, and thoroughness they put into the practice. I rarely ever write reviews, unless it is exceptional (on either end of the spectrum), but had to share my awesome experience and say THANK YOU to South Beach Vision - you have a customer for life!

Trotz Notfall, welcher in 5 Minuten erledigt gewesen wäre, wurden wir nicht bedient. Der Spezialist saß mit der weiblichen Aushilfe im Behandlungszimmer und hat Kaffee getrunken. Uns wurde vom Herr am Empfang ein Termin in zwei Tagen angeboten oder wir sollten ins Krankenhaus gehen. Der Herr am Empfang war sehr herablassend und arrogant. An einer schnellen unkomplizierten Lösung war er nicht interessiert. Sein Dialekt war eine absolute Katastrophe und der Wille sauberes Englisch zu reden war gleich null. Zum Glück haben wir 700m weiter einen Optiker mit Augenarzt gefunden, der uns schnell und unkompliziert geholfen hat.
