When I first heard ABC Pony was opening in my neighborhood, I was excited to try more of Bruner-Yangs creative dishes. I tried two of the pasta dishes, the Tagliatelle and the Fusilli, which were both good, but they lacked that wow factor that many of his other dishes have. Again, interesting concept and great atmosphere, but I wasnt very impressed with the food. I am however looking forward to their brunch menu, which is supposedly coming soon.

Their lumpia was great. I also got their pepperoni pizza which was OK but nothing outstanding, slightly undercooked on the base of the pizza. Sadly the largest disappointment was the cannoli. I tried three different flavors and one of them was a completely soft shell which is definitely not how a cannoli is meant to be, and all three really lacked in flavor. I was incredibly let down. But the vibe of the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and nice staff.

Picked up the Fish Sandwich and Brussel sprout side last Friday. The sandwich was delicious with special standout being the spicy pickles and the Caesar Brussels were divine! I wish this place had a patio because it love to sit here for dinner with a cold beer!

One of the biggest food tragedies covid has brought us is the limited menu that ABC Pony has changed to. The fun Asian Italian fusion menu has been replaced with burgers and pizza. I cannot tell you how much this saddens me. The burgers, pizza, and fries are good but I can only hope that they will go back to what I call real food soon.
