The staff and volunteers were all friendly and willing to help or answer questions. The staff member on the bus ride was entertaining and knowledgeable. Some of the animals weren't out not sure why. It was nice to see the interaction they had with the staff. We were able to see the whole zoo in 1 day. Only complaint is the safari part isn't included and that it is 45 minutes from the zoo. Food is pricey if eating in the zoo.

I was a guest of a member. A lot of shady foot paths make summer visits pleasant. More than a single day's worth exhibits, displays, and education.

The San Diego Zoo is overated and way to expensive. Very few animals in most areas. The transportation around the park is confusing. A great zoo in Memphis and Columbus. Ohio. Both are cheaper with more animals by far and better trained employees.
