Had the LASIK 3years ago at Roholt Eye Institute in N Canton. I kept telling them about my concerns about dry eye, the inlay not letting light in, and blurry vision in mornings.Believe me they insisted nothing was the matter and was very unsympathetic. They already had my 5 thousand. I finally went to an eye dr MD. to ask her questions about my dry eyes and concern about the Kamra inlay.The news was I never should have had lasik at my age. 20 to 45 yrs. Recommended to have best results. Because for the rest of my life my eyes will be having to use sterile eye drop vials all day and at nite too. Also I have a Kamra inlay in my one eye for nearsightedness. When Im in a dark room or its dark not enough light gets in and my sight is compromised. I would have to go back there to get it out. I think the inlays are off the market at this time.. I blame myself for not consulting other eye drs about the lasik. I was not the only Roholt victim that had visited this eye dr. MD. So please get some second opinions and do your homework before you let these people take advantage of your health for $

I am writing this review roughly 3.5 months after my procedure, so all is good! I had a great experience with Dr. Roholt for my LASIK procedure. After a lifetime of being terrorized by contacts that bothered my eyes and dry eye issues, I decided to make the jump to LASIK after consulting with my optometrist who suggested I would be a perfect candidate, even though both eyes had astigmatism. A series of visits were set up with RVI and my optometrist to perform the necessary tests to ensure I was a good candidate and choose the best procedure for my eyes. A visit with Dr. Roholt went over the basics of the various options and he talked through why this LASIK procedure would be best for me and laid out the possible side effects/issues that may arise following the surgery. There was a lot of "prep work"leading up to the day of surgery that was pretty clearly outlined with a care plan and appropriate eye drops were prescribed. To get to the good stuff, on the day of surgery, I walked in at 9am and walked out being able to see pretty clearly at 10am. I even played golf the next day! There was some "lens flares" with cars at night for about 2 weeks, but this subsided as Dr. Roholt suggested. It was a very methodical, "well rehearsed" procedure. Though it seemed a little "turnstile" with so many patients coming through there on surgery day, I was given very good care. I was really freaking out until the valium kicked in ;) but the staff really helped to relax me and guide me through the procedure. The procedure was quite surreal as you literally see your eye being sliced open, lens removed and then you stare into a laser for a few seconds! Then it's shades of red and green like looking into a supernova.....But it was as quick as is humanly possible and just like that I was walking out of the operating room able to see without glasses/contacts for the first time! I now have even better than 20/15 vision! My optometrist was even pretty impressed with my results. Additionally, with the care suggested by Dr. Roholt my dry eye symptoms have cleared up after about 3 months. It was expensive, but worth every penny to me. I would definitely recommend Dr. Roholt and the RVI for a LASIK procedure.

Couldnt have been a nicer staff! Just went for my 3 month check up after LASIK and have 20/15 vision with no prescription in either eye after astigmatism in both eyes! Couldnt be happier!

I had Lasik surgery performed here. My entire experience exceeded my expectations. The friendliness of the staff, the details given to me by the doctor to explain what was going on with my eyesAnd most importantly the results of the corrective surgery. As someone who has worn glasses or contacts for almost my entire life, to be able to wake up with clear vision without having to use glasses or contacts has been truly a Godsend. Dr. Roholt, Gwen Grimes and the rest of the staff treated me like family. I would recommend this corrective Surgery, and more specifically the Roholt Vision Institute, to anyone who suffers with failing long distance vision.

Dr. Celmer and staff were awesome during the whole process. Any question I had, they would explain to the point I felt comfortable with the answer. I would recommend Roholt for anyone looking for Lasik.
