I wish I could put zero stars; I'm pretty upset that I have to even click 1 star as a rating. This is coming from someone who has never rated / reviewed anything on here OR yelp (until now). We have stayed at the Rosewood Turtle Creek on three separate occasions. One of those times being for a week while we waiting for our belongings to come after moving to Dallas. My husband 'surprised' me with a Mother's Day weekend stay at the Rosewood TC, but the surprise was ruined when they sent me the email confirmation even tho his email was on file. I brushed that off since it wasn't the end of the world. We got to the hotel and headed straight for the pool. When we got there we found a few lounge chairs and got situated. About 30 minutes later a group of guys showed up and proceeded to drink and chain smoke, which was annoying since it was windy and their second hand smoke was blowing right in our faces. Our daughter has asthma so we decided not to make a scene and we packed up and headed back up to the room for the rest of the evening. The second morning of our stay we called the front desk to ask the concierge if they could help us with restaurant suggestions/reservations for a 12:30PM lunch since all of the restaurants that we were calling were either booked up or weren't taking reservations. We felt like the concierge might have a better idea of which restaurants would take reservations or that they might have a better shot of getting us a reservation since they have relationships with certain places. My husband spoke with the concierge and told her what we were looking for and she said they would call us right back because they needed to help another guest with a Lexus test drive that they were offering. I told my husband that I felt like they weren't going to call us back, so we should make our own reservations. The front desk finally called back about an hour later saying that the concierge was still busy but they would call us in a bit which we declined because we made our own reservations. Fast forward we finished our lunch and returned to the hotel for a 3pm massage that my husband had scheduled a few days prior when he booked our stay. I finally managed to find the massage area, which by the way is hard to find because there is no signage anywhere, and I waited in a robe for my therapist to come get me as instructed by one of the other therapists. After 15 minutes of waiting I called the front desk and asked what was going on and they said "we called your husband yesterday and told him we could no longer do a Saturday massage and he agreed to move the massage to Sunday instead." Guess what guys, no one ever called my husband to tell him that. They went as far as to say that there was a note in their system saying that someone had called him implying that it was proof and that I was just out of the loop. Sunday was Mothers Day and we already had plans so he never would have agreed to make that change. Besides that his phone didn't have any missed calls or VM's from the hotel so nobody had even called him. Their lines of communication were clearly off considering they didn't even send the reservations to the right person. At this point, I'm pretty upset with the 'service' at this hotel, and I went to the front desk to let them know what was going on. The 'manager' was not empathetic at all and when I explained how I felt and I used an F bomb, and she told me she didn't appreciate me speaking to her like that. At that point, I knew this was no longer the hotel for us so I packed our bags and we left two days early. The GM did call me and apologized for everything but unfortunately it was too little too late. The poor customer service coupled with the hotel lying about speaking to my husband about changing a reservation and the smokers by the pool were enough to make us head on home.
