There's severe malpractice in this shop's business decisions. I had a very poor experience here compared to three other doctors I've seen over last 8 years. -I was given brand specific prescription which means I can use my prescription for one brand only. Further consultation is needed if I change brand. Prescription for contacts should NOT be specifying brand. This is a bad business practice. - I was required to go in for two visits just for a routine eye exam and prescription. This practice is again a bad business decision. - I was told I must to do additional exams that are not part of the required routine eye. As per my insurance policy, I can choose to opt out of that enhancement exam. This increased my co-pay by $39 - The doctor said to me "you're welcome" unsolicited . Perhaps it's an human error but I took that as passive aggressive, highly unprofessional way of soliciting appreciation from me on my question around why the prescription mentions name of brand I should use. I did not feel like I should say "thank you" when I was told I am allowed only one brand written in my prescription
I had the best experience at Sunny Eye Shop. Everyone that works here is so helpful and really likes what they are doing. My exam was thorough and accurate. I was getting new glasses because my previous pair were fitted wrong and gave me major headaches. Because my prescription is very high index the team took their time with me finding a frame that not only looked good on me but wouldnt exaggerate the thickness. I honestly get compliments every time I wear them, which is more and more often. Their selection of frames are the best Ive experienced and its apparent that they only stock quality brands.
