I had a very poor experience at City Grows. Upon arrival, I was impolitely told that I was early for my appointment (by 3 minutes) and then let into the store (I would have waited!). Once inside, I was not offered any assistance despite filling out the appointment form with several questions/concerns AND being the only customer in the store. After making my way toward the counter where the staff were chatting amongst themselves, I asked about a couple specific plants I had indicated I was interested in, to find out they had neither. This was irksome because I thought the point of filling out the form was to give information about what you were looking for, so it became clear no one had read it. I then continued to look at other available items and finally a staff member came from the back garden and helped me with some advice on repotting a plant and getting new soil. However, the other three were too busy talking about the little bugs on a plant to bother to give me the time of day. It was overpriced for such an unwelcoming experience. I get that it was the end of the day and I'm sure they were looking forward to going home, but I will never return to such a pretentious uninterested place again.

Hi Ebony! We're very sorry you didn't get greeted as you came in the door. I was working with another customer outside in the courtyard where our vegetable seedlings are. Everyone else you saw was setting up for an art show and they were not our employees. I always try to greet everyone as they come in the door, but sometimes it's not possible. My apologies.
