Just terrible. We are a new, small business. With the economy and just starting out we are struggling a little bit. We pay our bills, but sometimes we have to be a bit late to making the payment. This company charges $50 late fees. 50 dollars. That is about 39% of our monthly bill. They run us further into the ground. I understand late fees. I accept the consequences of late fees for any other utilities but other late fees are never $50. That was ridiculous and unheard of to me.
Dear Ms. Gonzales, Lane Equipment Company has been in business since 1966. For over 55 years, we do not take our reputation for granted. Like other reputable businesses, we have a policy that first time customers must go through credit check, except if you pay us in cash or COD. You and Rodney gave us authorization to do so (in writing). It is unfortunate that we did not had the chance to build a business relationship with you, we apologize for this circumstance. As a business owner, I plead that nobody use this company if you are being referred to them by somebody else. Our friend referred us to a representative by the name of Ginger, we tried to reach out to Ginger multiple times a week for 2 months. Ginger never answered her phone or responded to any voicemails or any text messages my contractor and I both sent her. Youd think we would stop there right? Well we still decided to give the benefit of the doubt to the company. Ginger called us IMMEDIATELY AFTER we called our friend who recommended her. She called us three weeks ago & always took business days to respond to my messages about meeting her to get our paperwork started to lease our ice machine. We eventually meet with her once she gets her schedule together & we signed the leasing documents. After this we dont hear from her until 2 weeks later. Here we are thinking that we are just waiting on the ice machine to be built & installed in our location. But it turns out they ran a credit check on my partner & I even though it was not stated and if it was its obviously something we would not agree to!!! The company is now failing to provide us with a full refund and arguing with us on the phone. Lack of business ethics, professionalism & customer service is all Lane Equipment can offer you. I definitely recommend you seek out a different company like we did who gave us a waaaay better price & did not ignore 2 months of phone calls from us. Oh and the new company also didnt need to run our credit.
