The worst place for compassion, care, and intelligence. The technicians are smarter than the Drs, and have better bedside manors. Dr. Topgi and Dr Nielsen both seem to run the same way. Overbooked, overwhelmed, and they are done with your appointment in less than 5 minutes. Im embarrassed that I even brought my mother here for help. Misdiagnosed, overcharged. This place should be ashamed of themselves and shutdown. Stay away from here.

Dr. Moreira didnt perform usual tests other ophthalmologists do, such as following movement of pen with your eyes. I told Dr. Moreiras assistant my previous doctor discovered my eyes did not close completely, and showed her nighttime gel I use. But Dr. Moreira did not check to see if eyes still did not close. She only looked into my eyes briefly with the slit lamp, saw cataracts (of which I was already aware) and reached for pages of surgery options on her desk. Nothing else! Within 5 minutes I was speaking with coordinator who told me Dr. Moreiras surgery recommendation would cost $7,000. Plus $350 co-pay. It starts at the top, and Nielsen Eye Center is a bad organization from top to bottom. There were unnecessary phone calls, lack of internal communication, misinformation, omitted information, unanswered questions, wait time, RX sent without consent, asking PC for sensitive records after appointment was cancelled (PC declined) Far too many problems under one roof to NOT write a bad review. Some Medical Professionals provide care and then get paid for it. Others want to get paid so badly they dont care about anything else. This place trains its workers to sell surgery. Tough place to work if you have a conscience.

I went there to get my narrow angles checked as my routine doctor referred me there while doing the registration I asked the lady at reception if I have to pay anything she said its free and few weeks after I got an invoice for 310USD When we tried to talk at the call centre they were not helpful at all they kept on saying call your insurance and they were not able to hear us when we raised our pitch so that they understand us better the lady said dont yell at me and disconnected the line Why should we pay for this specially when they told at the registration we dont have to . I could have gone to a in network doctor Updating my review after your response : This is the number of call center that you have given here, and same people I'm talking about in my review above... I have already spoken to your call center multiple times ...
