Hi Cynthia - thank you for visiting. Your support (and patience last night) means a lot. Happy to hear that you enjoyed the pizza and experience, and hope to see you again soon! - the Una Pizza team
First experience last night with Una Pizza Napoletana. I had seen the story on the restaurant on CBS Mornings a few days earlier. I didn't have a rez as I didn't know the drill. Only a rez will guarantee you a pizza. By 8p, they had run out. The woman at reception was very accommodating and suggested I wait a few minutes for arriving parties with rez that might not all show up. Presto! I got a seat at the bar. I ordered the Marinara. Excellent. Delicious sauce and unusual crust -- flaky and layered. Something like a croissant, without the butter. $22 for a 12" pizza is a bit much but this was a treat to self. As good as the pizza was the staff. Both reception and the woman at the bar were very kind, attentive and cheerful. It matters. I was at a well-known pizza restaurant in Greenpoint last week and diners ordered and paid through a QR code. There was almost no interaction with a human being. I felt like I was in an Amazon Go store. Not the restaurant experience most people would want.
David - thank you for your visit, and for sharing! Glad you enjoyed and we hope to see you again soon.
Heard so much about Anthonys pies that when visiting New York it was a spot I knew we had to check out. Was definitely not disappointed! Probably the best pizza Ive ever had. The dough was incredible and the toppings were fresh and delicious (sauce was sweet, mozzarella creamy). Ambiance was very intimate (we were seated right next to the window where you can see all the pie making action). Service was also great and the homemade gelato was a must have. If you want authentic high quality Neapolitan pizza in NYC, I dont think youll find a better spot!
