Mr. Walker is a very friendly guy but after renting my trombone with the f attachment for 3 years(36 payments) he calls and says I still owe him $500 to keep the trombone. I am very confused and will take down this bad interview if Mr. Walker changes this and I can keep the trombone without the extra payment because on the website, it says $25 a month and 36 payments to own and not 36 payments to own and an extra $500. I have been a good customer of Mr. Walker and have been renting two trombone with f attachments and am very disappointed in this.
I am extremely disappointed and couldn't believe how the staff treated us. We just got back from Arkansas today (note thats a 5 hour drive) and we called this music store earlier today and were told if we got there by 6pm we could come pick my little sisters band equipment. So we drove and we couldn't find the store so we called the store as we drove around and finally when we find the store, Some guy answered the phone and was completely rude to us and told us we were not allowed to come in even through the lady we just spoke to said we could. Who ever that guy was, i hope he gets fired. i will not be coming back to this store ever again!!!
This place has been very helpful when I've needed anything for my son's clarinets. They have been a life saver doing repairs before a marching contest or addressing any concerns I have had (on both the student rental and the R-13 we later purchased). I don't know anything about instruments, so I'm thankful they take the time to show me how things can be prevented or maintained.
The business hours are NOT convenient if you are coming from any place other than Allen, are working parents, and/or have children involved in band and sports after school and on the weekends: 3-6p on Monday-Friday and 10a-2p on Saturdays. Mr. Walker will try to convince you that he will travel to your school district and that he is very service-oriented, but we found the communication and customer service to be poor when he did travel to our school district to try to resolve an issue. Please be aware of what the optional monthly insurance fee on your instrument ACTUALLY covers.
