Paid nearly 700 for a carpet a week ago.. After fitter left ,noticed carpet wasn't lying straight along the skirting board in some places..Rang the store,very helpful guy reassured me & said fitter would be back 30/5,said I would get a calk after 9 am to confirm time..I didn't.I rang them to be told the fitter would be with me PM,waited until 16.45.I rang back,told me they would call the fitter & get back to me,no call back..I rang again to be told he would be with me in 2 hours...no show!!!! A whole day wasted & I have been fobbed off..seems this company is great when it comes to taking payment but no good if you have a problem later !
Called on a Thursday and asked about their availability. Was told that they could definitely fit my carpets within the next 2-3 weeks depending on what carpets we chose. Advised that I would come down Saturday. Dave the manager said that was fine. Arrived on Saturday to be laughed at and told that there was no availability until 2 months. Absolute joke and very rude manager. Liars - just wanted to get us into the store. Waste of time.
I used the services of United Carpets, Fenton, recently. Despite Coronavirus, the customer service was excellent and the team, led by Huw Chapman, is knowledgeable. The range of stock is second to none, with something for all pockets.
Ordered a carpet, paid for it, day before it is supposed to be fitted got a call to say there wasn't enough of that carpet to do our room. Ok these things happen, i said i will wait until you can get enough to do it. They said they would get more in and fit it the following Thursday. Bare in mind i pulled the previous carpet up and took everything out of the living room in preparation. Comes to the Wednesday and i get a call again from them saying the carpet is damaged and there isn't enough. Now will have to book more time off work and live in a mess of a living room until something is sorted. No sort of compensation offered or discount for the inconvenience. Will wait to see what happens next after they speak to their manager. Very poor.
