What a great experience. I took the 5 day, the mushroom and the plant classes. I went in thinking I knew some things, but came out knowing way more. The instructors were amazing. Alaska Matt was actually doing his 50 day class when I was there and is now part of the team. There were so many interesting things that Jason showed me. The class was informative and fun. People from all over the states were there so it was good to meet other people who wanted to learn the same skills. I highly recommend taking the 5 day survival class. There are so many options offered, I'm sure there is one just right for you.

The survival University has the BEST instructors! I have met many of them and had the chance to work with three of them to increase my wilderness survival skills. Just coming out of the Winter Survival Course and it was one of the best investments of time to feel confident in the outdoors. I had a ton of fun as well!

I found Survival University on line while looking for a basic survival class for my youngest son. We both took the 5 day basic class. I have subsequently taken the plant identification and mushroom identification classes. If I had more time, I'd take the advanced classes. Hopefully someday. These classes are more than just learning the basics of survival, it does cover these issues. These classes rewire your brain to understand and know how to THINK correctly to stay alive. I am rarely without a knife capable of keeping me alive anymore. I no longer just see a rock, or a plant or a hillside. I see the assets available in those locations and materials. Take a class, live by THE first rule.

Phenomenal experience. Knowledgeable, patient, practical and quite fun. I greatly enjoyed the 5 day course and will certainly sign up for more. The instructors obviously love what they do, and love sharing lessons learned in a format that makes things easy to remember. The food provided by nature was delicious!
