Coach Karla helped me get stronger while still recovering after my achilles injury and trained me to get back into MMA fighting shape. She takes the time to educate me step by step on how to train properly to build a strong foundation. She doesn't just teach, she coaches and is there every step of the way! She is bright and energetic, friendly, bold, funny, patient, and very knowledgable. She has over 8 years of MMA experience (Black Belt in JKD MMA) and 5+ years of experience in instructing and it shows. Other coaches will tell you to do things without explaining the "why" of things, but Coach Karla will make sure you turn your training into purpose. If you think her class is easy? You're wrong. You will be pushed to reach your limits tailored to your capabilities. However, you will do it right and you will get better no matter what you do. If you think you can't jump, squat, run, crunch, punch, or even build the confidence and courage to step out of your comfort zone? You can, Coach Karla will be there for you as long as you stay disciplined, committed, and resilient. She teaches the Women's Hybrid Self-defense class (Hybrid because she incorporates MMA techniques) and after the few seminars I have attended, I'm more inspired to continue with my MMA journey. She has been in my corner as an MMA fighter, friend, student and Mixed Martial Artist for 7 years, she will be there for you too.

This is one of the best gyms Ive ever been to. Both coach karla & coach tazz are nice and amazing people who truly enjoy coaching the warriors at the gym. As someone who came from a boxing background I decided to switch it up and try MMA and honestly I dont regret it at all, Ive learned so much more about the sport of MMA. I was able to improve as a fighter because of them. This is the gym to go to if you ever want to learn self defense or train to compete. Cant wait to go back once I graduate school!
